DIRECT SPEECHThe man shouted, “Come over here!”
Jonathan said, “I have lost my book again.”
Teacher Jackie asked, “Will you be attending the ballet workshop tomorrow?”
DIRECT SPEECH“Come over here!” shouted the man.
“I have lost my book again,” said Jonathan.
“Will you be attending the ballet workshop tomorrow?” asked Teacher Jackie.
DIRECT SPEECH“Come over here,” shouted the man,
“I want to talk to you!”
“I have lost my book,” said Jonathan, “and my favourite lunchbox.”

INDIRECT / REPORTED SPEECH• Remove the inverted commas,
question marks, exclamation marks and capital letters.
• Pronouns change to third person.• Start with the introductory verb +
