Confirmation Class Notices

All Confirmation candidates are advised to

have a copy of the Confirmation Manual

available at the office for R80. As advised,

you all need to have one by the end of April.

Candidates are encouraged to start

pledging monthly and be up to date for the

current year before date of confirmation.

Regular attendance of classes is highly

important, and constant absenteeism may

result in candidates no longer qualifying for

the 2019 confirmations.

Holy Cross Memorabilia Our 76th Anniversary Memorabilia is still available at the office for all parishioners. Monthly we will be having a Memorabilia Day as we continue to celebrate our 75+1 Anniversary. Get yours today if you have not done so already.

Praying for favourable weather

We have been recently hit by a lot of

miserable, deadly, and damaging weather

events across the country, the continent,

and the world at large. Let us keep KZN &

the Eastern Cape close in prayer, all our

friends and families affected by the floods

this passed week. In our prayers, let us also

keep the nations of Mozambique which are

experiencing the destruction of the deadly

cyclone Kenneth. Let us pray for the souls

of those who have tragically departed due

to these weathers, their families, and

communities affected. May their souls rest

in peace and rise in glory.

Rector’s Sabbatical Leave

As we all read in the Rector’s report to ves-

try distributed weeks back, the Rector will

be on Sabbatical Leave from May to July.

During this period the Parish Council will

make sure all goes well and plans are in

place to make sure all services go as

normal. See Church wardens if you need

anything!

Servers Guild Meeting

All Servers Guild members are asked to

attend a very important meeting in Room 3

after the service today. Your attendance will

be highly appreciated. We ask all other

groups to excuse the availability of Room 3.

Following Protocol at all times

The Anglican Church of Southern Africa

and the entire Anglican Communion is the

Church of Order. As such we as members

ought to follow due procedures at all times.

We have put on the Notice Board the pro-

cedure to be followed in a case a parishion-

er has got a grievance. Kindly familiarise

yourself with it and adhere to it should you

need your grievance to be attended to.

Food for thought: Is Christ Alive in Our Lives? Galatians 2:20-21 says: "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not one of those who treats Christ's death as meaningless" Post Christ’s Resurrection, we are encouraged to now have Christ live within us, our thoughts, words, & deed.

Phomolong/Phefeni Zone Meeting

There will be a Phomolong/Phefeni Zone

Home visit/meeting to be held today, at

147A Mamasilanoka Street in Meadow-

lands Zone 1 at the home of Lekoane

family. The meeting will start at 15H00. All

members invited.

Easter Offering Envelopes

Easter envelopes are still available from the

Zone leaders as well as from the Council

Table. We give thanks to Christ for the sea-

son of Easter for the precious gift of salva-

tion and victory over death to free humanity

from chains of death and sin. Kindly return

all the envelopes by Pentecost Sunday.

Please adhere to this date.
