ACTING PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Congratulations to Hannah U – 6B [Gladesville Gladiators] and Holly R – Prep C [Wells Wildcats] who won their section of Patto’s Got Talent last Friday afternoon.
I would also like to thank and congratulate all participants who auditioned last month, in particular, Seth M (6A), Fletcher L (6A), Chloe B (6A), Abbey T (4C), Braya H (2C), Brooke W (2A), Chloe A (2A), Summer M (2A) and Ashley F (1B) who made it through to the final. The school was very proud of their performances.
Thank you to Mrs Carmona, the House Leader teachers, House Captains and the judges for their efforts in making this such a success.
WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL DAY
Thank you to Miss Conway for her terrific organisation of the Walk Safely to School Day last Friday. It was great to see so many families participate and enjoy the sausage sizzle breakfast donated by Baker’s Delight.
LOST PROPERTY
There are still a number of unnamed items in Lost Property. These items include lunch boxes, drink bottles and a variety of food containers. If you are missing any of these please take a look in the Lost Property area located near the Canteen. Thank you to those parents who spent time to sort through the large number of items and organise the return of those that were named. From time to time some parents happen to find and return named clothing of other students which is great. Please ensure all jumpers, bomber jackets and hats are named and check regularly at home to ensure that you have the correct uniform.
STUDENT OF THE WEEK AWARDS
Congratulations to the following students who won our ‘Student of the Week’ awards for Week 6 of this term. Students will receive their certificates at their next assembly. Keep up the terrific work everyone!
Prep A – Laura R for being an enthusiastic reader.
Prep B – Alyssa C for working so hard on her handwriting and being a wonderful independent worker.
Prep C – Madeleine C for excellent use of reading strategies.
Prep D – Sienna P for being so persistent during Diary Writing each week, and having a go all by yourself.
Prep E – Charli M for completing your Golden Magic Words. You are doing a terrific job.

P.E UNIFORM
Could you please check your children’s P.E day and ensure
they wear the correct P.E uniform to school on this day.
We are currently experiencing a lot
of children not wearing their PE
uniform to school on their PE days
and this does not help them to
reach their full learning potential.
The P.E uniform allows all students
to actively participate safely and
confidently.
The P.E uniform consists of a
school polo with either pants or
shorts/skort and running shoes
that provide good support and comfort.
Thank you,
The P.E department.

BAND TOGETHER DAY
On Thursday the 12th of June we are asking students to dress in purple (or a touch of purple) and bring in a gold coin donation for National Buddy Day. The proceeds will go to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation. The foundations goal is to help reduce bullying in primary school, through education and much more.. On the day we're challenging buddy grades to join forces, literally — with a ribbon, velcro band or a hair scrunchie and take a photo of their most creative band. We appreciate all of your support.

Help Patterson Lakes Primary School to win $10,000!
Help us raise funds by collecting mastheads of the Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun.
The Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun is giving Patterson Lakes Primary School the chance to win $10,000! It’s easy for us to take part, just collect as many Herald Sun or Sunday Herald Sun mastheads as you can between Sunday 1 June and Saturday 14 June. Return them to us by Tuesday June 16th and we will tally and submit the final number. The school that collects the most wins! Scores are calculated on a proportional basis to the number of students that attend each school, so everyone has an equal chance of winning.
Those mastheads add up fast and we can use the money for any school-related program.
