1. 1. 29/10/14 TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN YOCAF OWES ME US$75 During the 2014 edition of YOCAF I staged a verbal protest about the long overdue $75 that YOCAF in general and Leeroy Gono in particular owe me after performing during a YOCAF official opening act some 3 years ago. I quite recall that that was the edition of YOCAF which was attended by the so called American authors / university professors and fellow American Embassy officials. Leeroy asked me to perform my poetry fusing it with other acts during the official opening ceremony. I did (see picture below).
2. 2. Since then YOCAF, which I think is one person, Leeroy Gono, has not honoured the arrangement. I need my money. Therefore, during the 2014 edition of YOCAF I cornered the YOCAF sentries (including well known Masvingo city bouncers and ZRP details who were on duty at the festival and can witness this) and Gono himself for my money. Gono scribbled a commitment to pay me the next day but he never did. I still need my money and will continue to protest for my overdue payment at every opportunity including the next edition of YOCAF.
