Dual Language Bilingual Program/Programa Bilingüe: Dos Idiomas
What is Dual Language?
A dual language program provides literacy and content instruction in two languages (English/Spanish) and integrates English and Spanish speaking students. It develops bilingualism and biliteracy while promoting appreciation for other languages and cultures.
¿Qué es el programa bilingüe, dos idiomas?
El programa provee instrucción en dos idiomas (Inglés/Español) en todas las asignaturas académicas. Los estudiantes angloparlantes e hispanoparlantes son integrados para que puedan aprender juntos. El programa desarrolla el bilingüismo y la lectura y escritura en los dos idiomas. Los niños también aprenden a valorar otros idiomas y culturas.

• Develop high levels of academic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing two languages
• Achieve grade level academic proficiency
• Give students the opportunity to be more competitive in the global economy
• Nurture understanding and acceptance of different cultures and languages
• Develop bilingualism, biliteracy, and biculturalism
