Enrichment: Reading Labels Provide a label from a garment containing

wool. Include the fabric content and the care instructions.

Find a label for a garment that is supposed to be dry-cleaned only. From your example, note what fabric(s) are dry-cleaned and compare your findings with a permanent press fabric.

Obtain a label from a child’s sleepwear garment. Include the fabric contents, chemicals added, and care instructions. Also, tell how the label is attached to the clothing.

Find a label from a garment that is at least two years old. Tell where the label is attached. Notice if the label is still readable.

Read the label on a prescription bottle. Include the information contained on the label, such as warnings, precautions, or directions for use of the medicine. Also, note additional information supplied, such as a leaflet, with the prescription.
