Tommaso Spadolini has reached a milestone in his career ... 30 years of activity.

Today more than 200 yachts that navigate the world seas bear his signature.

The studio’s working methods set the scene. «We’ve built up an ongoing professional relationship with many clients, and they’ve often become our friends» says Tommaso Spadolini «So it is that the best ideas can even develop over dinner, with a sketch drawn on a paper tablecloth.»

Design Studio Spadolini is able to assist clients with the selection of Italian fully qualified interiors sub-contractors for the custom built and on board assembly of all the interiors and decks furnishings and decor.

We follow all the numerous stages of realization and oversee the work in progress applying strict quality control.

We use the most advanced computer technologies and provide the client with a full array of renderings, tank and 3D simulations, fabric and exclusive finishes selection, choices of designer decor accessories, and, of course, all the required technical drawings.

Florence is also one of the finest fashion shopping center in the world, many of the famous fashion houses are located here in Florence.When you make the decision of constructing a yacht in Italy we will be by your side advising you on all the aspects.Please keep in mind that: The construction materials, the finish work, the level of engineering, the size of the yacht and many other factors are a key factor on the final price of a yacht.A yacht “designed and made in Italy” holds its value over time and is always ahead of time in terms of design and overall quality. The flexibility of our design studio and of the shipyards we work with, allows our clients to get a lot more for what they pay.

As an example of these added values please consider that Numptia a 70 m. a full displacement motor yacht had a final cost of approximately 58 million Euro and now has a resale value, in the super yacht market, of over 70 millions Euro.

THE STUDIO’S MISSION IS TO TURN IDEAS AND DREAMS INTO WORLD CRUISING BESPOKE YACHTS.

“I see the design of a new yacht like a new “Fontana di Trevi” where water falls down gently in a soft manner. A yacht where contact with the prime natural element that surrounds her is always present even in the initial sketches. For me a boat must live the sea. The sea is, naturally, around and under the yacht but must be felt and lived with harmony by the owner and the guests.”

Design Studio Spadolini is able to handle all aspects of exterior and interior yacht design, from 40 meter yachts to “grand” super yachts.We might be asked to focus exclusively on either the exterior or the interior, but we are equally at home with both; refining and balancing every element until the two become one. Our ability to listen to the ideas, their dreams the musts of our clients allows us to think, create and design with beauty and balance to match the client expectations.

Tommaso Spadolini started designing yachts under his father supervision even before he graduated from University and has been doing just this for the last 30 years. Today more than 200 yachts that navigate the world seas bear his signature. In the last months 4 Mega Yachts were delivered to their Owners: in May 2011 the M/Y Numptia - 70 m. l.o.a. built by RossiNavi in Viareggio, in June 2011 the M/Y Follow Me - 45 m. l.oa. built by Factoria Naval de Marin in Spain, M/Y PRIMA a 54 m. l.o.a. built by Columbus Yachts in Naples in July 2011 and, just recently an innovative 45 m. M/Y ASLEC 4 built in Viareggio Italy by RossiNavi.

Tommaso and his design team are committed into developing solutions with attention to detail, technical innovation and an eye to the environment in order to deliver distinctive, “green” and successful projects. He and all of his staff, always work very closely with clients, both Owners and/or Shipyards to translate their dreams into reality.

For us, a yacht ‘lives’ on the water and interacts with the sea in all weathers. We think that a designer’s job is to interpret the desires of the clients, who invariably want to be able to enjoy the sea environment in safety, luxury and comfort.

Over the years many special yachts came out from Tommaso pencil and drawing board: among them the yacht Fortuna designed for the King of Spain (the first yacht that runs at over 70 knots of speed) or the yacht Nina J (42 m long) winner of the 2006 Cannes WorldYachts-Trophies. This year, in May at Istanbul and in June in Montecarlo, our megayacht Numptia is nominated for the 2011Boat International Award and for the 2011 Showboat International Design Award.
