The design company Bolia.com has 53 stores in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and France, webshops in 27 Europe- an countries, and more than 400 dealers in 44 countries worldwide. Bolia is a Danish growth company that has gained international acknowledgement for design, concept and creativity, among others at the Global Retail Awards, Global E-commerce Awards, International EFFIE Awards, and as the winner of several Danish retail- and e-commer- ce awards. Design chain Bolia takes over France On Friday, the French will be able to experience the Bolia universe of handcrafted, Scandinavian designs first hand, as the design company opens a truly unique flagship store in the heart of Paris. Until now, the exclusive high-end department store Galeries Lafayette, among others, has been selling a curated selection of smaller Bolia de- signs and the interest from both customers and the media has been enor- mous: “We’ve already begun an amazing journey in France through our strong network of global dealers, and our own store opens up the possi- bilities for segmenting our position on the French market further – in both b2b and b2c sales”, says CEO, Lars Lyse Hansen. Danish design and creativity is set to inspire Paris The new design store is located in the center of Paris, on Boulevard St. Germain. A historic neighborhood in the heart of the pulsating and fashionable Latin Quarter with classic Parisian cafes on every corner, local specialty shops in rows, diversity as a mat- ter of course, stimulating experiences an absolute must, and creativity as the corner- stone for success. “We continue to explore creativity – through our strong design collections and in the way we think store experiences and global online shopping. The coming year will bring even more great store experiences, all of which will support our journey as a design company. Our goal is to give our customers a design experience out of the ordinary and to show the world what we believe Danish design and creativity is all about”, tells Lars Lyse Hansen. The new store in Paris marks a busy year in the company growth. In September, yet another Grand Opening awaits in the capital of Belgium, Brussels, while adventures in Nice and another store in Paris represent the next part of Bolias ambitious expansion plan.
