Dept of HHS NFL Study Cover Letter

description

This is a recent letter Dave Pear received from the Dept of Health and Human Services citing that retired players live longer than the average American male in similar categories. This counters the argument that the NFL and the NFLPA has been promoting for decades that retired football players' life expectancies were shorter than the average male and more of them would be dead before they were 55. As a result, many retired players were convinced to take their pension benefits early - at a discount - while also disqualifying them from receiving disability benefits because of another nonexistent law that was propagated by the management of the NFLPA and the NFL.
