Ms. DHARA JAIPURIA
Pro Vice Chairperson
Delhi Public School Jaipur
I think there should be a good balance between being a good
student and being able to enjoy your school life. The age span
of a school child is too important to be crowded with academics.
One can’t miss out the fun of the golden age- but balance it.
At DPS Jaipur we teach that!!
Mr. KULBHUSHAN KAIN
Director Delhi Public School Jaipur
Education is the training of the mind to think
independently. DPS Jaipur has always endeavoured to
empower its students to take responsibilities for their
actions and to think beyond themselves. We hope our
students will be those citizens of the world who grow up to
make remarkable contributions for the good of all.

CHILDREN’S CREATIVITY AT ITS BEST……. FIRST LOVE
The sound of the thunder made her shudder. She tried to ignore all the memories that kept flashing
in her mind- paper boats… little children jumping in small pools of water… her mom’s hot ginger
tea and a lot more. All these things seemed like a dream to her now. ‘Stop!’ she screamed, frustrated
now. She tried to keep herself busy with washing the dishes. She had a long checklist to complete-
mopping the floor, feeding the baby, preparing the lunch and tons more. She recalled those days when
all she had to do was to lie on the sofa, watch television and eat snacks. Those were her “happy days”
before everything turned upside down; before that catastrophic accident took away her whole family
leaving her all alone to face the world. Another roaring sound of the thunder brought her back to reality.
The Mistress’ baby was crying so she had to rush over. She rocked and fed the baby when she heard the
sound of the rains. She realized her first love arriving… the monsoon! She heard the satisfying sound
of the droplets descending on the window pane. She recalled how she used to love the monsoon, whenever it rained; she used to run outside,
completely drenching herself, feeling every drop of the rain. It was now raining heavily. She couldn’t resist herself any longer, her legs
involuntarily started walking. She unlocked the door and stepped outside. A couple of toddlers were running excitedly, welcoming the
monsoon. Her eyes welled up, memories once again flashing across her mind. She let herself loose and forgot that now she was a servant
and no more a free little girl. She stepped outside to her first love that she had almost forgotten. With her face up, feeling every drop of rain
once again, she was giggling like a five year old. She was happy. Why won’t she be? After all she had returned to her first love… The

AWAITED SEASON Most awaited season, not Only for the farmers but New and exciting flourishing also Sometimes gay sometimes not so gay Offers multitudes of choices Of incessant offerings and Nature’s bounties for all!!! That’s MONSSON for us? Gauri Daga (X C)
RAIN
It's like a melody,
A choir singing their song.
Looking around I see,
The magic from above.
It makes me nostalgic,
Raindrops dancing on leaves
The way everything suddenly
feels green.
I smell the wet earth
Coldness in the air
The wind whispers to me
I can't help but stare.
They say it’s a bane
I say it’s a beauty.
The wrath of Zeus
It makes me feel free.
Beating down on my face,
Incessant but soft,
It takes me to another world.
Away from the madness,
Away from the crowds,
It’s a refuge from reality.
Gayatri Nair (X H)
PITTER PATTER OF THE RAIN Rain on the green grass,
And rain on the tree,
And rain on the house top,
But not on me!
Pitter Patter of the rain
Brings back memories galore
Listening to it makes me wallow in sadness
But it also swallows the weaknesses away!
Rain on the miseries
And rain on the sadness
And rain on me to bless
To make life anew and happy!
Reet Nagpal (X C)
NOT EVERY FALL IS A FAILURE
Every poet is compelled to write,
As soon as you develop prowess of a beautiful sight.
The way the wind blows,
The way the fragrance touches my nose,
The way the trees rejuvenate,
The way the bird dances,
The way the drop tickles my hand,
The way I smile looking at you,
The way I look up high and admire you,
The way the clouds shine bright, all white
The dry leaves, happy
You glorify the house, so shabby
The way you adorn,
The way you create,
Magic.
From the heaven you arrive,
For loving the Earth, you decide.
To fall.
Not every fall is a failure,
Especially, not this saviour.
You are beautiful, raindrop.
Reet Nagpal (XC)
clair.
Kartikay Srivastava (VIII B)
O DEAR RAIN
You wet all the lanes
As well as trains
Whenever you fall
You make the snails crawl
You come in monsoon
And go away very soon
You are like cold showers
That wet all the flowers
I like the sound you make
O dear rain
Parv Jain III A(VDN)
Monsoon rains Monsoon rains are here Clouds are thundering, sky is lightning Birds are chirping, while cuckoos are singing . In the rainy morning, dew drops on leaves, Flowers on trees , look like pearls in fields, Peacocks are dancing , Sing, dance and chirp , That’s the peace of rainy season Rayna Holani (VII C)
MONSOON The most important season of the year, If it doesn't come, the farmer bear. The frogs start playing, The peacock starts dancing. The rain makes the environment cool, Therefore children don't want to go to school. The rain makes the environment green, Therefore, we inhale the air which is clean. When the rain is heavy, It causes flood and we call the navy. The clouds show their anger, Shouting like a ranger. Children enjoy wearing raincoat, And in rainwater sailing paper boat. The water of river overflows, And in Himalayas it snows. Rain is the umbrella season, A lot of people use umbrella, is the only reason. After rain the sky becomes sunny, And the rainbow is very shiny. Aayush Gupta (IX B)

I WISH……..
The cold breeze blows
and it turns the pages of my book.
The thunder proclaims the arrival of the rain
and takes away the solitude within me.
I wish I could savor these moments
the way the birds do.
I wish I could illustrate the beauty of
monsoon
the way the poets do.
Because monsoon lost all its beauty to me
that day
The children jump in the water trough
and the folks walk past the street.
O! how agonizing others happiness could be?
My heart aches when I cogitate
I feel nostalgic but my nostalgia is dead
I lost the touch and the embrace of my friend,
that day
I wish I could live forever in monsoon
the way my dead friend did
But monsoon lost all its beauty to me that
day.
Riya Jeph (XI B HUM)
MONSOON: OUR LIFELINE
Monsoon an invitation of pleasure
A mixture of happiness and leisure
Sometimes rain is followed by thunder
And soil smells just like a soothing lavender!
Clouds are like the bags of laughter
Burst with an event full of rupture
This season brings smile and cheer
Puts the life back in the first gear…..
Navishtha Bhatnagar (VII-D)
MONSOON !MONSOON!
Monsoon monsoon it is here
Bringing lots of joy and cheer.
The rain drops falling on my nose
All my friends are striking a pose.
The grass is also wringing-wet
So, is my tennis net.
I am going to the park with all my pals
To enjoy the magical rain dance.
Rain brings thunderstorm,
Along with rainbow and loads of fun.
As the drizzly rain appears
The shiny sun disappears.
After rain the smell that comes
Makes me go for a jump.
But don’t forget to carry a raincoat
To prevent that wetty bolt.
Monsoon monsoon it is here
Bringing lots of joy and cheer.
