What is your student status—traditional or returning, full- or part-time? This is my first time in college. I am a first time freshman.

How long are you planning to be in your current college? Is it likely that you will

What goal, or goals, do you aim to achieve by going to college? Attending to college itself is a goal that I want it to achieve now that I am here I want to learn as much as I can to be successful in what I want to do, I want to be able to graduate and feel like I am totally prepared to go straight to work as a paralegal.

What family and work obligations do you have? I am a 25 year old unemployed, single mother my son Christopher is 5 and he is a handful is my job to provide for him a roof over his head,

food, clothes etc.; aside from that my mother leaves with me she has health problems but is it still able to help me with whatever me and Christopher need.

What is your culture, ethnicity, gender, age, and lifestyle? I am a Spanish female that was born and raised in Loiza, Puerto Rico, I’m 25 years old, and I enjoy having fun with family and friends whether is going to the movies, dinner, park or anything I try to make the most of it wherever I go.

What is your current living situation? I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment with my son and mother.

What do you feel are your biggest challenges in college? Right now I don’t have a job so I am able to do all my school work without having any time management problem, but when I do get one I am worried that I might not be able to handle it all together. As if right now my biggest challenges are not knowing how to put my personal problems aside and focus on school work, there’s a lot of challenges that I am facing on a personal level that I hope don’t get in the way of me learning.

What do you like to study, and why does it interest you? My favorite subject has always been English I enjoy reading and writing but I’ve always been fascinated by the Law and that’s why I decided that paralegal would be a great career choice for me it allows me get a degree in two years and start working right away

and because I have a family that depends on me is good that I can start in a short period of time.
