Fox Run Membership,

I hope this message finds all of you well and enjoying the holidays. I wanted to provide you an

update to the letter you received last month concerning the addition of a 5% admission tax to

your monthly bill. The Board of Directors has decided to delay the collection of that tax until

further notice. We are continuing to investigate the tax code and how this particular tax

applies to Fox Run Country Club. We have engaged the services of a tax attorney to help

resolve this matter. As soon as we have a final answer I will be notifying the membership of

the plan which is in the best interest of FRCC.

Hole In One Club

We are starting a hole in one club beginning January 1st.

$5.00 each

Explanation: The way this works is when a member of the Hole in One Club gets a

verifiable hole in one in a club tournament, each member of the club is then billed

$5.00. This in turn will cover the expenses for the day (if you know what I mean)

for the person making a hole in one.

If interested, please let us know in the golf shop asap.

Dear Fox Run Country Club Member,

The ability to vote, have a voice, is an important role that citizens have.

Fox Run members have a choice, to be involved with the business of the club by owning a

share of stock and participating in voting on club business, or not owning stock and not having

a voice. To encourage participation and involvement in the Fox Run Country Club the Board of

Directors invites the members to purchase a share of stock in the club so you can vote at the

annual meeting for the Board of Directors. Additionally, stock holding members are eligible to

run for a Board of Directors position after two years of stock ownership and being a member

in good standing.

Right now a share of stock costs $360.00. The share of stock comes with the right to vote at

the Annual Meeting in April. The only way to have a voice is to vote. Exercise your right.

Effective immediately any stock purchase will come with the additional benefit of membership

in the BUYERS CLUB program. This program provides large discounts on purchases in the Pro

Shop for clubs, balls, shoes, remote golf carts and apparel.

Going forward the Buyers Club will only be open to stock holding Fox Run members.

Effective January 1, 2018 through March 3st, 2018, a $300.00 membership price will be

available for members who purchase a share immediately and membership in the Buyer’s Club

will be automatically activated. As well another option, members may choose to make 12

monthly payments of $30.00 in addition to their monthly bill for a total of $360.00. At the end

of the 12 payment program the member will get a share of stock, voting rights and

membership in the BUYERS CLUB. If you want to vote in the upcoming Board Member election

this April 2018 we encourage you to purchase a share at the discounted $300.00 share price

(which includes instant Buyers Club membership). If

Fox Run is a special place. The members of the different groups, the 552, Ladies, Seniors,

Players and Juniors all contribute to the dynamic that makes this club unique and a great

value. Our Pro David Fels and his staff work hard to make the member experience the best

possible. The club relies on the membership to help grow and flourish. If you’re a new member

and don’t own a share of stock this is a great time to get involved and have your voice heard. If

you’re a longtime member and don’t own stock, now is a perfect time to become more

involved. We encourage all members to own stock and vote. We appreciate your

The Handicap/Tournament committee has decided to go forward with the Tee it Forward for 2018. The committee is

implementing the following for 2018. In 2018 for Tournaments Only, Fox Run Country Club will keep the current

age restrictions where tees are concerned. Those conditions are:

Blue Tees Men Age 54 and under

White Tees Men Age 55 to 69

Gold Tees Men Age 70 and up

Red Tees Men Age 80 and up/Ladies

The Committee will also honor the ability provision that says, “Any member with a handicap index of 12.0 or above

as of December 1st of 2017 can move up one tee box.

Ex. a player that is 53 with a 12.4 index can play the white tees in tournaments.

All members who wish to move forward, must notify the golf shop by January 1, 2018 as to which tee boxes they intend

to play from for the coming year. The selected must be used all year long

Members playing with other groups (552, Seniors, etc.) their respective tees will be administered by their regular group.

Greetings From the Grounds:

This month we will be going to the three hole locations on our greens which we will rotate every two days. We

will also be changing hole locations once a month as winter moves on. In the next week or so, we will paint all

of the greens for the winter, so look for that soon. We will continue to blow leaves and remove dead trees

throughout the winter. As well, we have been using a 50 foot lift to get trimming and removal of trees done.

We recently have been removing the trees in #7/#8 woods, behind #7 tee and behind #8 green. Cutting the trees

behind 7 & 8 will help the growth of #7 tee and the area behind #8 green to dry out during rainy times. We will

also be removing a few dead trees around the back nine as well as 11 oak trees on the back hillside of #5 green

complex. This will allow for the back of the green to receive sunlight and air flow. We will follow up in the

spring by shaping & sodding the back hillside of 5 to allow for play when balls are over the green. You will

notice our last two new water cooler enclosures on hole #3 and the driving range which the seniors and 552

went together to purchase for the club. Thank you in a big way for helping to raise the level of the facilities with

such nice water enclosures that will also last the test of time and weather.

As always we will see you on the course and hit em right down the middle.
