Letter From Your LTGHow do you feel?Because I feel good. Oh I feel so good. We haven't been doing much on the division level, so We haven't been doing much on the division level, so here's to a change! After all of you did so well with our last service project, we're adding to it! We will be having a joint DCM, fundraiser, and service project all in one day! Come join us on December 15th at Rosemont High School for a million service opportunities! My goal is for our division to save at least 100 mothers and her future babies from a terrible disease - tetnas. This means we only need 60 terrible disease - tetnas. This means we only need 60 people to show up to our talent show night and contribute just $3! This is possibnle because each of you do make a difference and you have shown that from past service projects, Fall Rally North, and you can prove it once more at this service project! I hope to see all of you there roaring with service.

Lots of Dino Love,

Kaetyng Chen

On November 10th, Division 44 South held a service project. After our usual DCM, we began making holiday cards for the elderly. Utilizing our creative skills and artistic talents, the division made a large amount of beautiful cards. This service project was a great way for our members to get to know others in the division and to show that they care for others. Vivian Lee, a freshman from Folsom High said, “I had a great Lee, a freshman from Folsom High said, “I had a great time making holiday cards for the elderly. I felt very compassionate because knew I would make an old person happy! I also realized that not everyone was fortunate enough to receive even a holiday card. So, by doing this service project, it made me feel good inside while I was making cards.” The division learned that even making a heartfelt card still counted as a that even making a heartfelt card still counted as a small act of kindness. They hope the elderly will enjoy the cards they have wrote for them and help brighten up their holidays.

As much as Mira Loma Key Club helps our community, we also sometimes rely on the community to help us in turn. One example of this is our Thanksgiving Craft Faire Fundraiser. Twice a year, Gibbons Park, which is very close to our school, hosts a Craft Faire for the Carmichael community. For years, they have additionally allowed us to host a fundraiser in their kitchen area and sell concessions. Over the years, organizing this has become an art. For it to go well, you have to have the right number of people, the right types and amount of food, and know exactly what prices will draw a crowd. This year, we raised nearly $350 which will be going into our clubs funds and will be used to help send our members to District Convention in March. Members always love this event, and are super enthusiastic Members always love this event, and are super enthusiastic about going around and advertising food sales in addition to prepping food in the kitchen. All the attendees of the craft faire tend to be very nice people, and are excited to see motivated youth in their community. At this most recent Craft Faire on November 3rd, I even met the leader at the local Elk Lodge who is now interested in working with our Key Club. This fundraiser always benefits us as a club, and allows us to help at a community event. We’re very thankful to the Gibbons Park Community Center for allowing us to hold this twice each year.
