MARTIN DE PORRES HOMELESS SHELTERSt. Martin de Porres will once again feed the homeless at the coldweather shelters at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception andCentral Presbyterian on the following evenings (all Mondays)December 6, January 3, February 7, and March 7.

    There are three ways to help: prepare food (we provide recipes),serve the food at the shelters (only requires about 3 hours, usuallyhome between 8:30 & 9:00 PM), stay overnight until 6:30 am (safeatmosphere with private sleeping quarters). We have the most diffi-culty finding overnight volunteers, but it is really easy duty. We breakthe night up into watches, and since guests sleep between 9 PM and5:30 am, there is plenty of quiet time to catch up on reading, paper-work, etc. The more volunteers we have, the more sleep we get!Eileen (Helena) Nelson will once again be coordinating the volun-teers.     Cada domingo nos reunimos para celebrar la Eu-carista. En ella nos encontramos con la presenciadel Resucitado que a lo largo de toda la semana, detodos los das, ha estado caminando junto anosotros.Reunirse para celebrar la Eucarista es crear comuni-dad, abrir el corazn y liberar las ataduras del pesode la vida y del hasto del da para acogernos mu-tuamente en la confianza de quien sabe que en eldescanso de la comunin se transfigura el corazndel hombre.La Eucarista nos hace vivir plenamente la Alianza de

    Dios con los hombres y nos hace sentir desde ahora lo que en el Reinode Dios ser clara y plena realizacin.

    Es la fe la puerta que nos hace entrar en la Eucarista. Para gozar de sucelebracines necesario acudir con puntualidad, participar en la mismacon gestos y posturas corporales adecuadas a cada momento y re-sponder con respuestas y aclamaciones que manifiestan nuestra acti-tud de oracin.

    Las diversas partes de la Misa, desde los ritos iniciales hasta la ben-dicin y despedida, estn tan estrechamente unidos entre s que for-man una sla celebracin en la que hay que participar desde elprincipio hasta el final.

    Debemos ser una comunidad en la que todos juntosnos dispongamos como conviene a celebrar

    dignamente la Eucarista. Por eso, acudir con puntualidad es un acto de atencinamorosa a Dios y a Jesucristo que nos convocacada domingo, y un acto de respeto hacia losdems fieles que se han congregado puntualmentepara la celebracin.

    BAUTISMO. Los padres tienen que estar registrados y asistiendo a la misa do

    nical por tres meses antes del bautismo de sus hijos. Presentar Acta de Nacim

    to del nio/a. Padrinos casados sacramentalmente deben de traer copia del ce

    ficado de Matrimonio. Solteros: mayores de 16 aos de edad, certificado de Ba

    tismo. Parejas en unin libre no califican para ser padrinos. Plticas de prep

    racin: Primer Martes del mes de 7:00 pm 9:00 pm, asistencia obligatoria de padres y

    padrinos. Ceremonia Bautismal segundo Sbado de mes a las 11:00 am.

    CONFIRMACION. Este curso de preparacin es de dos aos para jvenes que han

    hecho la Primera Comunin y estn en noveno o decimo grado. Inscripcin en la

    oficina del Ministerio Hispano.

    MATRIMONIO. Inscritos en la parroquia. Reservar la fecha con seis meses de an

    pacin. Certificado de bautismo actualizada, licencia pre-matrimonial, clases de pr

    racin LLASU (Llamados a ser uno). Cita con el padre. Inscribirse en el Minister

    Hispano.
