I can’t believe that 2019 is just about finished! I had so much fun making tons of memories this year and I can’t wait to see what 2020 brings. For me, it brings a lot of wedding planning, as I’ll be married on September 12, 2020! So, I’m going to leave this article short so you can enjoy all the pictures from November. I know 2020 will be the best year yet—let’s get December rollin’! Be sure to check your December calendars every day as there’s so much excitement happening through-out the month with special events & carolers!

To The Veterans of the

United States of America:

“Thank you, for the cost you paid for our

freedom, thank you for the freedom to live in

safety and pursue happiness, for freedom of

speech and for all the freedoms that we daily

take for granted.”

Grand Meadows honored Veteran’s Day on,

November 11th, with a special Veteran’s Day

Service. Pastor Tyson Mastin gave the

Invocation and Benediction. Betty Knick shared

“Happy Birthday Heroes” and Kathleen Neubarth

gave the address and read beautiful memoirs

about Veteran’s Day. Pictured (front row left to

putting on this Veteran’s Day program.

Nursing Notes By: Karen Post, RN

TO: All Grand Meadows Tenants and Families Grand Meadows is pleased to announce that for all tenants currently receiving Coumadin Management, we will now be able to provide INR testing on site at Grand Meadows. We have purchased the necessary equipment and supplies to perform this service for tenants who need on-going Coumadin management. We are also reaching out to tenants who do not currently have Coumadin management, but utilize the $20 medication change order fee, about this new service. The Nurse Visit fee is $50 per INR test. We will provide the necessary supplies and update your MD with the results. Grand Meadows will not do any billing to your insurance. By providing this in-house service, our tenants will not have to leave the building during inclement weather, arrange transportation, or sit at the clinic waiting for an appointment. All of this will be handled very efficiently in-house by our Grand Meadows’s nursing staff. If you have questions or want to learn more about this service, please contact Karen Post, RN or Melissa Christensen RN, our Grand Meadows nurses.

Hearing Life Presentation Tuesday, December 17, 9:30 – 11:00 AM

Lounge

Plan to attend a presentation by Hearing Life of Glencoe to hear more about what they can provide to our tenants for your hearing needs. They may come on a regular basis to do hearing evaluations, check batteries, clean & adjust hearing aids, etc., if we have interest from our tenants.

If you have questions, please see our RN’s, Karen or Melissa.
