A deep heartfelt thank you for all those who have made it possible for Operation Christmas Child to shine the light of Christ’s love on 182 precious boys and girls. Each of these shoe box gifts represents a child who will receive a touch of God’s love and the presentation of the gospel
of Jesus Christ. In addition, children are offered an opportunity to participate in a discipleship program where they study the bible through ten lessons on God’s truth.
Please pray for the children and their families who will receive these shoe box fits, that hearts will be opened to the good news of Jesus Christ. Most children who receive these gifts live in desperate circum-stances. Pray that God will meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Thank you.
May God richly bless you, OCC Committee

LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING
National Goal: $175 Million Our Goal: $15,000
LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE We will have the Lottie Moon Christmas Card Exchange available
beginning Wednesday, December 1st in the hallway by the library. This is an easy way for you to exchange Christmas cards with your church family, and at the same time contribute to the Lottie Moon Offering. We suggest you donate the money you would have spent on postage,
or whatever amount you feel led to give. The AWANA workers and T&T Clubbers will be providing this service. Please go by and
check your box each week to see if you have received cards.
December brings many opportunities for change. We are going to change to a new year of ministry in 2011 soon. That means we are looking forward to seeing growth in 2011. I will be preaching a “State of the Church” address in January and in preparation for that in December evening services I will be preaching several messages about where we have been. The weather is changing as well and we can see evidence of those changes every day on the thermometer. The weather of a church can change, whether or not the weather outside is frightful or not. Churches can weather changes and become bitter or become better. I believe God wants us to be better, not bitter. That means that we must encourage each other daily and celebrate those who, in the past, have given themselves for God’s kingdom work at Lamar. We do so for the Troublefield family and pray for God’s richest blessings on them for the new place of ministry He has for them. December is not only a time for change it is a time for Christmas. We celebrate the birth of the Only Son of God again this year with great musical and dramatic presentations. We wonder and awe at the gifts God has given to us through His Son. We look forward to celebrating traditional reminders of God’s goodness in our Christmas Eve service (of course we are praying for no snow this year that evening). We also thank the Lord for another year of His gifts of provision as we carry out the timeless message of Christ in Christmas. I would pray for us this year to be ready for all the changes a new year will bring. I would pray that come Christmas time next year we will celebrate this Holy-day on streets of gold because Christ has returned again. I pray that we would be steady and enthusiastic about leading others to a relationship with Christ so they can celebrate with us in glory. I pray that Lamar would be blessed and realize they are blessed and bless others. I pray that 2011 would be a year of effectiveness for the glory of God. I pray that God would pour out on all of you great blessings into your life. May God bless you all, Pastor Mike

Dear Church Family, You are such a tremendous blessing! Thank you for your support financially and prayer-fully during the Singing Men mission trip to Ukraine. Without your love and support I would not have been there when 4,567 individuals came to know the Lord as Savior. I would not have heard the testimonies about the members of the Michael Gott Ukrainian team. I would not have been part of pledging $25,000 to the church in Dnipropetrovsk that burned to the ground. Without your love and support I would have worried about my family back home. YOU ARE AN AMAZING GROUP OF PEOPLE! PRAISE BE TO GOD!
To date, $37,471 has been received to help rebuild the church in Dnipropetrovsk. If you would like to participate in this love offering please send your check to: Michael Gott International PO Box 2636 Keller, TX 76244-2636
Merry Christmas!
Kevin
