YOUTH CORNER Thanks to all of you who participated with the Christmas Story

on Wednesday night. We especially appreciate Johnnie Mae Stice and the Youth

Choir for assisting us with the music and Dolores Gully and Jean Wilde for helping

with costumes. And, of course all of you who attended. As always we are blessed

when we have the opportunity to work with your kids. Don’t forget that we have a Penance Service

on Wednesday, Dec. 21st. We will not be having a separate service for the students as we have in the

past; therefore, we ask that the CCD students attend along with your parents and family. We also

want to thank you all for your generosity with the Youth Group’s charity project. The rewards are

endless when we help those less fortunate than ourselves. With this weekend being the end of Ad-

vent we wish you all a very happy Christmas season. May the peace of Christ and our Mother Mary

be with you all.

~Dcn Dan and Phyllis

A great big thank-you goes out to all those who participated in giving

to the Family Shelter and the Pregnancy Help Center of the Concho

Valley May God bless you for your love and generosity!

HISTORY CORNER:

Msgr. James Plagens was ordained

at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome

on December 18, 1965.

Dear Fr. Chinna and kind parishioners of St. Ambrose:

It gave me great joy to be with all of you, priests, deacons, sisters and hundreds of good people from St. Ambrose in Wall to celebrate the 70th anniversary of our beautiful church. What a wonderful and joyful celebration! I will always remember that special eve-ning. From my sharing with you and listening to you, I can see that all of you have very special memories of this holy place, and how Christ through the Church has truly been the center of your lives for so many years. I sincerely thank all of you for your kind-ness and hospitality. I appreciate all that was done to prepare our beautiful liturgy and then to take part in the festivities of the eve-ning as we enjoyed some delicious food. The good food at Wall never stops! Your servant in Christ and Mary, Most Rev. Michael D. Pfeifer, OMI
