Dear Year 1 Parents,

Please find attached the list of apps required on your child’s iPad ready for Year 2 in 2014. These are additional apps so please refer to the GPS website for last year’s apps that must remain on the iPads.

Apps must continue to be organised in the buckets as per 2013. Attached is another copy to support you with this process. You will find the new apps and their location also listed below.

As you know, iPads are to be brought to school on day 1, fully charged and ready to use. iPad morning routines are the same as Year 1 and we suggest you discuss this with your child and review the parent booklet on the school’s website.

Over the holidays we suggest you clear your iPad of all 2013 content. You may like to leave the Book Creator books which have been published in iBooks. All apps must be cleared of any saved items. Videos and photos will also need to be removed however you may like to save them onto an alternate device. Year 1 teachers will support the students with this process in the final weeks of term 4, and ask that you assist with the removal of items where possible.

TRANSITION SUPPORT

To ensure a smooth transition into another year of learning with iPads,

all work currently found on your child’s iPad will need to be published and removed. Classroom teachers will have

completed most of these transitions for you and we ask you to support us by rechecking that all tasks have been

completed by the commencement of the 2014 school year.

BOOK CREATOR

- All Book Creator books need to be published into iBooks.

- They must then be deleted from the Book Creator App.

PHOTOS / CAMERA ROLL

- All photos and videos need to be deleted.

- Albums can remain, however their contents need to be deleted.

- This includes all personal use / family photos and videos

EXPLAIN EVERYTHING

- Hold down your finger on a project to activate the deleting action

- Click the red cross , then select YES to delete the project.

- Complete this process for all projects

DROPBOX

- All files within your child’s specific grade folder – Eg. 1H TERM 3 and 4, will be deleted by your child’s Year 1

classroom teacher.

- You will need to delete other files such as

ones found in the CAMERA UPLOAD folder.

Select ACTION BAR, Choose EDIT, Select ITEMS, Click DELETE
