Message from the President

Sincerely,

Charles S. North, President & CEO

Dear Friend:

3

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is honored to be able to offer you this government and community resource guide. It contains all the information you need on Dutchess County government, its elected officials, and our local towns, villages and surrounding areas.

The Chamber takes its role as a liaison between the business community and government very seriously. It is just as important for every member of our community to be active in legislative matters. This purpose of this booklet is to provide you with the contact information you need when making important decisions that affect you, your family, and your community. Once armed with the appropriate tools it is important to utilize them by exercising your right to vote, as well as to be informed regarding those individuals running for elected office. It is every citizen’s responsibility to know the issues and each candidate’s position on each of those subjects. Together we institute change that is advantageous for all of us in Dutchess County.

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce membership is now even more valuable thanks to our organization consolidating with the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce. This unification will provide nearly 2,100 businesses with a vision to pursue a healthy economic environment and speak with one, unified voice whether advocating at the local, state, or federal level and allowing all of our members to work together to expand Dutchess County’s business base.

As always, this publication would not be possible without the generous support of our members. Please use this resource often, and remember, it is our pleasure to serve you.
