The Eiffel Tower The Eiffel Tower of Paris was not always
admired by the citizens as a magnificent structure. Many people called it an eyesore when it was being built, and even after it was finished construction. The tower was not built to stand more than twenty years, because of the original contest rules for designing a tower, yet it is still here today. The grand tower proved its worth as a communications tower, and was used to jam radio signals during the First Battle of the Marne. As a result of its usefulness, the tower was allowed to be kept standing.
The Importance of the Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower has been used throughout history with a variety of different uses. There have been science experiments conducted atop the tower, restaurants to dine at, and as a communications and observatory structure.
