Too good to be true?• Not all apps play together.
Skype and Edge not always available• IMU and IR images not available to Unity (yet)• Integration nits• Point cloud updates slowly, is coarse (from Unity’s
point of view)• Rendering power not great. Transparency an issue.
Some shaders won’t work. Keep triangle counts as low as possible
• Lighting conditions really affect your experience• Inherent transparency• Tracking in bright light
• No AR library
?

It isn’t that bad
• Use Visual Studio to roll your own ‘shell’ program to run with other apps
• Expect more support from Unity
• Vuforia coming soon!
• Integration with other apps means you only need to write apps for your specific need. Apps need only be monolithic if you want them to be, not because the have to be

What about that FOV?
• You get used to it quickly• Brain builds a larger ‘perceptual FOV’• Fully panoramic experiences,
maybe not yet

Is it worth it?
If you are in this business, YES
Create, connect and explore. A more natural way to interact. Go beyond the screen.
