Dates for the Diary Year 9 Parents’ Evening Thursday 31 March 2016 A reminder that Year 9 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 31 March, 4.30pm-7.30pm. Students will be issued with letters to bring home. We encourage all parents to attend; please indicate on the appointment schedule, on page 158 in the student planner, the teachers who you wish to see. Appointment times will be allocated by the individual teacher and sent home to you via your son/daughter in their planner.

Non-Uniform Day

Non-Uniform Day has been changed to the last day of term Friday 1 April 2016.

Lost Property

A reminder to parents that the school does have a lost property room, which is situated in an area near the Gym. It is open every morning, break and at lunchtime from 12.45-1.15pm for students to come and claim any lost items. We do ask that items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child’s name so we can endeavour to return found items to them. However, many items are not labelled and remain unclaimed and, as such, we will be displaying these items each term to enable students to reclaim their property.

This term the ‘Claim Days’ will take place on Wednesday and Thursday 30, 31 March and Friday 1 April. Please do encourage your child, if they have lost some of their property, to check to see if it has been found. Any unclaimed items by the end of Friday will be donated to a charity chosen by the school or disposed of.

Variety Show Wednesday 30 March 2016 Years 12 and 13 Performing Arts classes are participating in a Variety show including dancing, singing, acting and excerpts from a variety of musicals. Tickets cost £3 and can be purchased from the Drama Studio at break times. The evening will begin at 6pm and there will be a raffle and refreshments provided by Friends of the School. For further information, please contact Mrs Clarke [email protected]

Ghost the Musical

Congratulations to all students who took part in Ghost the Musical last week. All were a credit to the school whether they were on stage, in the band or working behind the scenes and there will be an after show party to celebrate. Invitation letters will be issued by Mrs Dixon; please return the consent form by Tuesday 29 March 2016. For further information, please contact Mrs Dixon [email protected] or Mrs Clarke
