Daniel 10:1-3• In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing

was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, even a great warfare, and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

• In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three whole weeks.

• I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine into my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

UNDERSTANDING

• This was the PURPOSE for which Daniel was fasting

• Some have tried to say that Daniel’s fast was just mourning for the vision and not a desire to have greater understanding.

• Daniel is seeking greater insight

• Through fasting you can receive understanding

VISION

• Daniel 10:4-9• Daniel’s vision is that of a

“certain man.” • As Daniel fasted he had a vision

of Christ.  

BREAKTHROUGH• (Daniel 10:12-14)• There is a warfare

taking place in the spiritual realm

• We are caught up in the spiritual conflict
