Tremendous heat, unending wait could not dampen the spirits of the people. Some people were in the queue from yesterday 7 PM.

Eden Gardens have been half full for most of the IPL matches this season, but for people of Kolkata, the 5th May match is the IPL final and they can do anything to be a part of this unique battle.

People of all ages were equally enthusiastic to see their very own “Dada” on 5th May.

People did what ever they could do battle the relentless April heat.

This was also a medium of togetherness of friends. People doing any thing and everything to “TimePass” the unending wait for the counters to open.

10 A.M sharp, counters open and the first person on the queue gets the first tickets.

Proud moment of the first person to hold the tickets. He was in the queue from 7PM last evening. “Its just like holding a lottery”, he said as he went away with pride.

It was not long when the fun and frolic converted into utter chaos. Ticket Counters closed after 1 hour. Tickets were said to have finished. Although only some 50 people got their tickets. Crounds went berserk. Mounted Police started Lathi charge.

People who waited patiently for so long could not be stopped. They visibly were not at all happy with the incident. They showed their anger to the Police Inspectors present on the spot. Crowd chanted “KKR Murdabad” as they dispersed from the venue, disappointed and sad.

The mounted police had a tough time handling such a huge angry crowd.

The face of the supported says it all. The police tries to console a supporter who still unable to understand how only 50 people can finish the entire quota of tickets. Police had no answers.
