This intervention took place at Western’s Recreation Center to help improve the communication between the facility managers and the professional staff.

This really happened!

Page 3: Form Frenzy

Reason to InterveneThe directors at the Recreation center were

having trouble getting their facility managers to fill out their paperwork efficiently.

By having them fill out their paperwork correctly, it allowed for better communication between the two.

Page 4: Form Frenzy

Analyze the Natural ContingenciesBefore the intervention, the managers had a

give level of efficiently filled out paperworkAfter completing their paperworkThere was an infinitesimally greater level of

efficiently filled out paperwork This was to small to control the outcome of

their behaviors

Baseline Graph DescriptionAll of the paperwork

one month prior to the intervention was collected

Data was recorded on how many forms were completed efficiently

Page 9: Form Frenzy

Specify the Performance ObjectivesThe director met with the grad assistants to

go over how to fill out the paper work correctly.

The grad assistants trained the Facility Managers on how to fill out the papers efficiently.

Cost around $70 for training time

IOAI asked my roommate to help me look

through the forms to see if she thought they were completed efficiently

For week 5 we agreed 100%Week 6 = 94% (there was one form that I

felt was not completed efficiently and she felt it was)

Week 7 = 100%

Page 18: Form Frenzy

Evaluate the InterventionFor the intervention 5 managers forms were

randomly selected (same as 5 from baseline)The forms were totaled together There was a show in increase for efficiently

completed paperwork Still not quite 100% but on the way!

Recycle (hypothetical)If we were to continue on we would have a raffle

drawing for the opportunity to win movie tickets. After every shift the facility managers would

have to turn their papers into the grad assistant, the GA’s would look over the paperwork

If the papers were filled out efficiently than they would write the facility managers name on a ticket and place it in a box.

Every Friday at noon a drawing would take place to win the tickets.

Evaluate the RecycleWhen the opportunity to win movie tickets

was implemented as a PM contingency the behavior of filling out the paperwork efficiently, increased.

Their performance shows that the opportunity to win movie tickets is controlling their behavior.

Page 24: Form Frenzy

Manager and Employees’ ExperienceI got positive feedback from the directors,

Social Validity The goals, procedures and results of an

intervention are socially acceptable to the client, the behavior analyst and society.

This intervention was a success in terms of meeting the social validity criteria.

By implementing a new form, and the trainings , had an outcome with better communication, helped the managers, the professional staff, and was accepted by myself and society.

Page 26: Form Frenzy
