This guide describes the setup procedures of KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) separately for the systemadministrator and for users.

The following licenses are required for using KUNAI for BlackBerry(R):

Your system administrators must install Remote Service on the server.

Install Remote Service on the server from which you can access your product.

You do not need to install Remote Service again if it has been installed for other usages.

Uninstalling KUNAI for BlackBerry(R)

Download KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) from the Cybozu products website, and then install KUNAI forBlackBerry(R) on your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone.

The user added when logging in cannot be changed later. To change the login user, editthe settings of your Smartphone on Remote Service.

Changing a user of Cybozu Remote Service

To install KUNAI for BlackBerry(R), you must insert a microSD card to your Smartphone.

Account informationEnter the account of the product you want to connect in the account information field. Youcannot use the account of your Keitai.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

To use KUNAI for BlackBerry(R), you must set the login name on your product.

A pop-up window will be displayed for setting the application permission while you aredownloading KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).When the application permission has not been set yet, the application permissionconfirmation screen will be displayed once each data sync starts.

Download KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) to your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone.The latest KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) can be obtained from Product website.

On the "Download KUNAI" screen, select "Set Application Permissions" andthen select "Download".

On the "Permissions: KUNAI" screen, set "Connections" to "Allow".

On "Application Permissions" pop-up box, select "Yes".

Start any application, and verify the serial number of your Smartphone.

Set your Smartphone on Remote Service.To add your Smartphone to Remote Service, use the serial number displayed on Step 3 of theoperation procedure.

Uninstalling KUNAI for BlackBerry(R)

Uninstall KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) from your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone.

To uninstall all applications completely, you must delete all of the following information:

Synced address data

Database files in microSD

To uninstall any application of your choice completely, you must delete all of the following information:

The corresponding application

The corresponding database file in microSD

Select any application, press Menu key, and then select "Delete".

Select "Delete" for deleting the application.

Restart your Smartphone if required.

Start the address book, and reset its synced data.To uninstall any application of your choice, you do not need to remove the synced data in the addressbook. Proceed to Step 5 directly.

Reseting data

Select "Media", press Menu key, and then select "Explore".

Select "Media Card" > "BlackBerry" > "kunai", press Menu key, and thenselect "Delete".To uninstall any application of your choice, select "Media Card" > "BlackBerry" > "kunai" >"databases", and select the corresponding database, press Menu key, and then select "Delete".

Basic usage of KUNAI for BlackBerry(R)

This page describes the basic operation of KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

Due to the different system administration settings of the product, some applications maynot be available for using. Contact the system administrator for details.

Changing display language

On your Smartphone, change the screen display language of KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

For the settings method, refer to the manual of your Smartphone.

The following languages are supported by KUNAI for BlackBerry(R):

Japanese

English

Chinese

When you set a language that is not supported by KUNAI for BlackBerry(R), Japanese will be used asthe display language instead.

KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) supports all the time zones of your Smartphone, and supportsdaylight saving time as well.

When you have changed the time zone on your Smartphone, the appointment time andmail received time will also be changed accordingly.

Logging in

Enter the password, and then access the Cybozu products via Remote Service from your Smartphone.

You must login once after the initialization. And you will no longer need to login for using the product.

Press Menu key, and select (Downloads), and then select any

application.

Enter the password, and authenticate the product.Enter the product password in "Password" field.

Press Menu key, and select "Set".

Syncing data

Sync the data of Cybozu products and KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

Select any application on your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone.

Press Menu key, and select "Sync now".

Global roamingWhen you are using global roaming for communication, you may pay substantialcommunication fee. You can edit the setting on "Personal settings" screen to stop the syncwhile global roaming.

Setting sync conditions

Some data such as the changes to mail account information is synced only once a day. Tosync such information at once, you must turn off your Smartphone and turn on it again,and then sync the data. The data to be synchronized on the first sync of the day is asfollows:

When an appointment is drawing near, alarm information will be displayed on HOME.

In personal settings, you can change the alarm time or set it to "No alarm".

Adding a file

Add a file to the body and comment.

Only one file can be added at one time.

Display "Compose" screen for E-mail, "Compose message" screen, or"Details" screen for Message.When a file has already been added to the body of a message, select "Attachments"of "Attachment"field to display "Attachments" screen.For adding a comment to a message, display "New comment" screen.

Select"Attachments" of "Attachment" field.Or press Menu key and then select "Add attachment" to add a file.For removing the file you have selected, press Menu key and then select "Remove attachment".

Select a file you want to add.

To remove the file you have added to the message body, clear the check box of the file on"Attachments" screen and press Menu key, and then select "Apply".

Selecting users

Select users from a group.

Display the user selection screen.If any user has already been selected, select Add User.

Select the target group.Select Up one level to return to the previous screen.

Select the target users, press Menu key, and then select "Add".

On "Selected" screen, press Menu key, and then select "Apply".

Viewing appointments

View the appointments on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

Only those data synced to KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) can be viewed.

The appointments can be displayed in the following ways:

On your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone, start (Schedule).

Press Menu key to switch the appointments display.

Displaying all kinds of appointmentsOne day is divided into nine different time ranges for displaying the appointments.When any appointment has been added to a time range, No appointment will bechanged to Have an appointment .Confirm the added appointments in the following time ranges: 0-8, 8-10, 10-12,12-14, 14-16, 16-18, 18-20, 20-22, 22-24.

Press Menu key on the "Appointments" screen, and select "Find".

Press Menu key after setting the search conditions, and select "Search".The following information can be set as the search condition for finding available time.

Repeating appointmentsRepeating appointments can be added when JST has been set as the time zone onyour BlackBerry(R) Smartphone.

Note for using Office 8

A deadline must be set for adding a repeating appointment.

One year will be set as the period when no deadline has been set for the repeatingappointment added on your product.

Press Menu key on "Appointments" screen, select "New appointment".

Enter the necessary information and press Menu key, and then select "Newappointment".To add a new appointment, the following information can be entered:

Select a date and time on "Results" screen of finding available time, press Menu keyand select "New appointment".

Editing an appointment

Edit the appointment contents.

On "Details" screen, when you change only the attendants and facilities, the added datawill not be updated. To change the data, press Menu key after changing each item, andselect "Update changes".

The following appointments cannot be edited on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R):

Private appointments of which "Public to" is set

Repeating appointmentsHowever, repeating appointments can be edited when JST has been set as the timezone on your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone.

Display "Details" screen.

What is Queue?

Tentative appointmentOn "Appointments" screen, the appointment of which the subject is in grey is a tentativeappointment whose date has not been set.Display "Details" screen, press Menu key after selecting the date you want to set, andselect "Set date" to set a date for the tentatvie appointment. For removing a proposeddate, press Menu key after selecting the date you want to delete, and select "Deleteproposed date".

Leaving an appointment

Leave the appointment that you have attended.

Press Menu key on "Details" screen, and select "Leave".To leave a repeating appointment, you must select from the following items:

Sync the data.When the data cannot be synced, you can select select whether to move the data to queue. There willdisplay before the appointment to be synced on "Day planner" screen.

What is Queue?

Setting a date for a tentative appointment

Set a date for a tentative appointment.

The date set for a tentative appointment cannot be changed to the other proposed datesany more.


Select a date you want to set in "Proposed dates" field, press Menu key andselect "Set date".

What is Queue?

In Step 2, you can select a proposed date you want to delete and press Menu key, andthen select "Delete proposed date" to change the proposed dates for the tentativeappointment. However, the appointment is still a tentative appointment until you set adate from the proposed dates.

Change the personal settings of Scheduler.

On your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone, start (Schedule).

Press Menu key, and select "Personal settings".

Select "Schedule" in "Application settings" field.

Set the necessary information and press Menu key, and then select "Set".

Viewing an e-mail

View e-mail on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

Unread e-mails number can be confirmed on "Folders" screen.


On KUNAI for BlackBerry(R), you can only view the e-mails of the sync folders during thesync range, since the other e-mails cannot be displayed. Sync range and sync folders canbe set in personal settings. Sync folders can also be edited by pressing Menu key on"Folders" screen and selecting "Sync folders".


Attachments over 10MB cannot be viewed.

New e-mails can be viewed after the data sync.

On your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone, start (E-mail).

Select a folder, and then select an e-mail title.

Read receiptOnce "Details" screen is displayed when the e-mail you received requires read receipt,there will display "Read receipt requested." Press Menu key and select "Accept Readreceipt", and then an e-mail will be sent to the sender as the read receipt.

Search e-mails during specific time range in all the folders except Trash.

All e-mails that are not necessarily within the sync range or in the sync folders can also besearched.

The maximum size of the file that can be attached to the e-mail is 1MB (1024KB). Inaddition, only one file can be attached to an e-mail.

Select the e-mail recipient.On "Compose" screen, select "From address book" in "To" field, and then you can set therecipient by selecting the address data in the address book and user list. You can alsoenter the e-mail address directly.

Viewing a message

View a message on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

Unread messages number can be confirmed on "Folders" screen.


On KUNAI for BlackBerry(R), you can only view the messages of the sync folders duringthe sync range, since the other messages cannot be displayed. Sync range and sync foldersof Message can be edited in personal settings. Sync folders can also be edited by pressingMenu key on "Folders" screen and selecting "Sync folders".


To view over 60 entries of comments, data sync will be started at the same time. Onlywhen the data sync is completed, you can view more comments.


On your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone, start (Message).

Select a folder, and then select a message title.

On "Folders" screen, unread messages number is displayed beneath each folder.Unread messages are displayed in yellow background.The following information can be viewed on the message list:

View the Details.

When there arrives the update notification of the message which is in queue, and youselect the title of this message, you will view the messages queue screen. This message isdisplayed as unread until the data sync is completed.

Acknowledgement messageWhen you receive a message requires acknowledgement, there displays "Acknowledgementrequested" on "Details" screen. Press Menu key, and select "Acknowledge" to indicate thatyou have read this message.

FavoritesPress Menu key on "Details" screen, and select "Add to favorites" to add the message tothe favorites.

Search messages.

Search the messages updated during specified period in all folders except Trash.

Viewing request data

View request data on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

The number of the requests need to be processed can be viewed on HOME of your Smartphone.


Unprocessed requests and the requests during the sync range can be viewed on KUNAI forBlackBerry(R). Those requests out of the sync range cannot be displayed. request datasync range can be set in personal settings.


The following data will not be synced:

The request data that are not allowed to be edited by the approver or applicantaccording to the item access permission


Request data will not be displayed in the urgent items list.

When the request has been sent back or completed, there will display a "Acknowledge"button on the request details screen, and this request will not be synced to theunprocessed list.


New Workflow can be viewed after the data sync.

On your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone, start (Workflow).

Press Menu key and select the list you want to view, and then select therequest title.

To display the product address data, pay attention to the following information:

When you are using Garoon 2, both the address data in Personal address book andthe data in User list will be synced with the product.

When you are using Office 8, both the private address data in shared address booksand the data in User list will be synced with the product.The address data in books other than shared address books or the address data that ispublic to other users cannot be synced.

Scheduler data that is displayed from search results and that you are not attending.

What is pending sync?

The data synced to your Smartphone can still be viewed and edited, even if no network connection isavailable for your Smartphone.But the update information cannot be synced.If you sync data while no network connection is available for your Smartphone, the following screen willbe displayed:

Press Menu key on the above-mentioned screen, select "Pending" and then the updated data will bemoved to the queue.Press Menu key and select "Close" to discontinue the sync operation and return to the operation screen ofeach application.Update in queue will be synced later.

View the data in queue.

The sync history can be viewed.

If the data that is added or edited is in queue, the "Pending" screen is displayed when you select thedata to display its details.


Press Menu key, and select "Pending".

View the data in queue.On the "Pending" screen, you can view the operation of each application.


To view the sync history, press Menu key and select "History".

Press Menu key on "History" screen, select "Error history" to view the error sync history.

When data sync failsOn the "Pending" screen, "Error" will be displayed as the status if the sync fails, forexample, when the synced data has already been deleted.Once the sync fails, the data cannot be synced any more. Select the data failed to besynced and press Menu key, and then select "Delete" to discontinue the sync process.However, the schedule can be synced later after being edited again.

ReschedulingThe appointment data will be unable to be synced in some cases, such as if another userhas already reserved the same facility. Then select this appointment data on the "Pending"screen and press Menu key, and select "Reschedule" to reedit the appointment. However,the appointment cannot be rescheduled during the data sync.

Changing password

Change a password.

The password set on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) must be the same as that of the product,otherwise the data cannot be synced.

The login name set in the user profile cannot be changed.

When you change a password on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R), the password on the productwill not be changed as well. Therefore, you must change the product password afterchanging the password in personal settings of KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).



Select "User profile" in "Common settings".

Change the password and press Menu key, and then select "Set".

Set the automatic sync interval.The sync intervals that can be selected are as follows:

Sync blackoutperiod

Set the time period during which the data cannot be synced automatically.To set the sync blackout period, select "Set" and set "From" and "To".- "Set" is not selected by default.

Global roamingSet whether the data will be synced automatically while using global roaming.- "Sync even while roaming" is not selected by dafault.

The data will still be synced automatically at each sync interval, even you sync eachapplication manually. However, automatic sync will begin once the manual sync iscompleted.

You can also sync the data manually during the sync blackout period.

Setting a signature

Set whether a signature will be attached to the added comment on KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

When a signature has been set, you can attach a signature such as "Comments from Smartphone" tothe comment entered in "Comments" field of both Scheduler and Message.

You can also set whether the application will use signature function.



Select "Signature" in "Common settings".

Reseting data

Reset KUNAI for BlackBerry(R).

After the data reset, contact your system administrator for the login name and then configure theinitial settings.

Data reset is required when the product access URL or Remote ID has been changed.

After the data reset, all the synced data will be deleted completely. The followinginformation will also be removed:

Personal settings

The login user cannot be changed to the other one, even if you reset the data.

Data added to the product will not be deleted, even if you reset the data. Only those datasynced to KUNAI for BlackBerry(R) will be removed, such as the address book data syncedfrom the product.



Select "Reset data" in "Administration" field.

To reset data, press Menu key and select "Reset data".
