Cyberspace has become a necessary part of everyone’sdaily life. The growing importance and significance of theInternet have not only resulted in radical changes to thesocial context and behaviour in the last decade, but havealso brought along numerous challenges to legal thoughts,approaches and systems. All of them were inexperiencedbefore. The related issues are and were the origin for abroad variety of thoughts and initiatives.
The seminar’s goal is to highlight, present and assess some of thepertinent current legal approaches towards the cyberspace andits challenges. A particular emphasis will be on ways to copewith the unpredictabilities and particular legal risks ofcyberspace. Aspects of contract law, criminal law andapproaches for dispute resolution will be addressed with anational, regional and international point of view.
