What is Cyber bullying? Cyber bullying uses technology to harass, threaten,
embarrass or target another person.
It is most common in young people
1 in 2 teens and 1 in 6 preteens have been affected by cyber bullying
Many times cyber bullies don’t know they are being mean, they think it might be a harmless joke You shouldn’t say or send anything rude that you
wouldn’t say in person.
Types of Cyber BullyingSome cyber bullying can be easy to
depict: such as; someone might be shown a text, message or tweet that is hurtful
Some are less obvious than that such as; posting personal
information, pictures or
videos to hurt or embarrass
someone
There Are 2 Forms of Cyber BullyingDirect Attacks: These would be done in the form
of instant messaging, text messaging, stealing passwords, blogs, websites, sending pictures, internet polling or interactive gaming
Cyber bullying by proxy: In this situation, the cyber bully gets someone else to do their work for themMany times the person doesn’t know they are
being used for cyber bullyingThis is the most dangerous form because adults
can get involved in the harassment without knowing they are working with a kid
The most common way this is done is by the cyber bully getting a hold of the victims account and sending something out to everyone.

Bullying in the Schools
Many schools have a protocol against bullying and it will be dealt with immediately
However, some schools can be sued if they overstep any boundaries
It is important to be aware of the incidence and know everything that has happened before taking any extreme actions.
