Broadcast Messaging:

Provides the ability to reach all clients at a singleagency, in the entire CVMS territory, or all CVMterritories with one message. This is a resourcethat will allow you to post job listings, civic engagements,weather alerts and EITC eligibility.

Reply to Broadcast Messaging:

When a Case Worker or CVMS Manager sends abroadcast voice message to their clients, each client canpush a button and reply to the sender of the messagewithout having to make an additional call.

Email Broadcast Messaging:When a client provides an email address, it will beadded to a broadcast email list that the CVMSCoordinator can use to send messages to clients.(i.e. job postings, agency events, job readinessclasses, workshops, etc…)

Multi-lingual Prompts:

The CVMS system currently offers prompts inSpanish in addition to English. We have plans toenable additional languages in the future.

Ability to Issue Voice Surveys:

The CVMS system can be used to collect survey datafrom clients (clients listen to questions and respond).

Ability to Create “Hotlines”:

CVMS Coordinator can create customized hotlinesthat clients can call to access recordedinformation.

CVMS Advanced FeaturesEmail Notification:

Clients with email addresses can opt to receive emailnotifications of “new messages waiting” so they know tofind a phone to check their voice mail. This feature isespecially helpful to clients who do not have daily accessto a phone but may be checking email at libraries andcommunity computer labs.

Usage Reporting:

Knowing when a client last accessed their voice mail isan important indicator of usage, and helps case workersknow if clients are listening to their messages

Community Voice Mail Summit Future Features:

Outbound Calling:

When a client listens to a voice mail message,they can press a button and the CVMS system willreturn the call to the person who left the messagewithout having to make an additional call.

Access CVMS via 211:

If a client calls 211(which is free from any payphone in Summit County), they can push abutton and be transferred to their voice mailbox.

each year across the country and partnerswith nearly 2,000 agencies.

• Nearly 70% of CVM users reported achievingtheir stated goals including employment,housing and/or safe communication.

How can your Agency get Connected?• Discuss your agency’s participation with the CVMS Coordinator 

• Sign the necessary agreements

• Receive training on CVMS

How Much Will CVMS Cost My Agency?Info Line covers the majority of the cost of CVMS for Summit County, butsome of the cost must be shared with participating programs to sustainCVMS Services. The service is always free to the client.

Participating Agencies pay:

$1.00 per voicemail box per month

Example: 10 boxes cost $10 per month or $120 per year
