I. Core a project “Design and Development of Microwave imaging tool for Breast Cancer detection”.

PROJECTS:

Responsibilities: Chief Investigator

• Literature Survey and system Concept development. • Development UWB antenna and array for the Microwave Imaging (PCMA.PEMA,Bowtie-2 to

13Ghz). • Top loaded Sleeve monopole antenna development (500MHhz to 3.1Ghz) • Study of coupling media and its effect on Antenna performance. • Dielectric characterization of coupling medium for the breast cancer detection. • Study and Development of normal and tumor breast phantoms • Prototype development and measurements.

II. Design and Development of 6 MV Medical Linac (Jai Vigyan project phase-II funded by Ministry

of Information Technology, New Delhi)

My Tasks: Responsible for microwave system development and measurements, RFA measurements.

• High power pulsing of Microwave system and out gassing. • Microwave low power measurement of the system. • High Voltage testing of Linear Accelerator system. • Microwave assembly of the system and measurements. • AFC-Automatic frequency control system and its components development and calibration(Phase

wand calibration). • RFA(Radiation field Analysis) and radiation measurement of the system • Magnetron and Electromagnet installation, trouble shooting of the problems. • System Installation work at user site. • Service and maintenance of medical linear accelerator system at user site. • Implementation and servicing of PCB cards and control systems of the Medial Linear Accelerator

systems. • Microwave system documentation and training.

III. Coaxial slot antenna development for microwave ablation Coaxial slot (2.45GHz) Outcome: Prototype antenna is developed and tested.

IV. Development of Cavity backed Bow tie antenna for GPR system for soil measurements. Outcome: Prototype antenna was designed, developed and tested. 2.
