12. Scientific Areas of Specialization

As an academic researcher and lecturer, my interest is focused in two main

fields of research, the first is in examination of the way that personal

relationships between different members of the family might influence a

person's involvement in deviation and delinquency and the second deals with

revealing the factors that drive people into involvement in terrorism and

revealing the facilitators of cooperation and reconciliation between ethnic

groups. In order to advance the production of innovative knowledge in those

fields, I work as an independent researcher and collaborate with researchers

from different colleges in Israel and I am also an active member in "The

research institute of the Galilee" and in "The youth in risk research center",

both are operating in the Western Galilee College.

13. Miscellaneous

Ever since I finished my Doctoral studies, I managed to publish three papers,

one of them was published in an international ranked journal, another in an

Israeli journal (peer reviewed journal) and one more in the proceeding of an

international conference. A recent paper of mine is being currently evaluated in

an international ranked journal and another two are about to be admitted to

evaluation in the coming October. The reason for a rather low paper production

leans upon the fact that ever since I became a lecturer I have been investing

many hours in teaching and in helping (over time hours) students from Israeli

suburbs, that deal with difficulties in learning assignments, I also have been

teaching 18 hours a week in few palaces because of an economic necessity.

In addition, in 2014 I joined the research center for children and youth and I

was functioning as a team member in a research that dealt with neglect.

Within the research, I personally interviewed over 55 mothers and social

workers and other welfare workers, whom I met in their houses all over

Israel. Now days I am writing alone and recently I initiated partnership with

two other college in order to produce scientific papers together. Also, I have

recently joined the Galil research Institute and I produced a crime summary

chapter which is included in a current multy-theme report called "Madad

Hagalil" that was produced by the Institute research team.
