From the family of Richard Miller
Perhaps you sent a lovely card, Or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent a floral piece, If so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, As any friend could say;
Perhaps you were not there at all, Just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts, We thank you so much whatever the part.
Thank you very much. God bless you all. Love & Prayers,
Mary Miller

2020 Crystal Lake Club Arts & Cra# Show
If you weren’t able to a$end the Arts & Cra#s Showcase on the 8th, you missed a terrific experience.
Thirty five of your talented neighbors presented a sampling of their incredible crea!ons. Spectacular wood carving,
fine art, paper art, Swedish weaving, amazing kni'ng & crochet, beau!ful painted wood home décor, jewelry,
glass art, candles, crea!ve pain!ng, lovely items made from sea glass, miniature scene jar toppers, & even a
stunning handmade Christening gown.
And the quilts…..large, small & all sizes in between. Quilts for warmth, babies, wall hangings, true art quilts,
vintage quilts, WIP’s (works in progress), & a wide variety of handmade, quilted and sewn items.
Many items were available for purchase.
A new feature this year was having everyone who a$ended vote for Best in Show bragging rights.
·! First place went to Linda Fanning for her imagina!ve art quilts.
·! Second place was Karen Hess for her skillful wood carvings.
·! Third place went to Be$y Mar!n for her stunning Christening gown.
I would like to thank all the selfless folks who came late Saturday and early Sunday to set up the tables and came
back to take them down. Thanks to our “water girl” Carol McIsaac. Special thanks to my co-chair Karen Hourigan for
her assistance and counsel, and my quil!ng partners, Dianne Banks and Linda Fanning for quilt set up and take
down and support.
Lastly a HUGE THANK YOU to all the par!cipants. Can’t wait ‘!l 2022!
Sincerely, Janet Leach

A MESSAGE FROM MANAGEMENT
By: Sheila Brown, Community Manager
Page 10 MANAGEMENT NOTES/OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Hello Everyone!
We wish all the seasonal residents safe travels as they all leave for the summer. To all the “Fort Holders” we look forward to a nice, healthy summer here in the sunshine state with you!
Please see below a few friendly reminders from the community office:
·! For all residents leaving for the summer, please be sure to submit an Absentee Form to the CLC community office. It is important you make the necessary arrangements with someone to care for your home during time away. (lawn maintenance, pressure washing, irrigation, emergencies, etc.) ·! Don’t forget to pick you up a “gone for the summer checklist” from the office. It is easy to forget to do some things when you go away for the summer.
Due to the pandemic of the Coronavirus and the virus being highly contagious and easily spread, we made the decision to cancel all activities and close all rooms in the clubhouse until further notice in an effort to limit exposure to all residents and employees. We are empathic for the disruptions this may have caused but we feel the precautions are necessary until instructed otherwise. Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding.
Listed are some ways to help protect yourself: ·! Clean/wash your hands often daily ·! Avoid close contact, stay home ·! Wear a mask if you are sick ·! Cover coughs & sneezes ·! Clean & disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily
If you are looking for the latest news on the health crisis or want to learn more about the virus, visit the : Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the World Health Organization’s dedicated sites.

In addition to the cash prizes, all participants received an awards certificate & gift bag containing a martini tee, matching golf ball & ball scrubber. Before the awards, everyone enjoyed a lovely meal & beverages, served by the Museum volunteers, including our own Judy Fala & Kathy Morin.
All ladies also received a chocolate mint in a little box decorated especially for the Crystal Lake Ladies 9 Hole Golf League by Grace Hudson.
The 2019-2020 season will end with our last game on April 16th, and the 2020-2021 season will commence November 5th, 2020.
