P8 Alarm with inhibit sequence

Ignored when P5 = 0 or 4 or 5

OFF = without inhibit

ON = with inhibit: the alarm inhibit function is activated when the instrument is switched on and after changing the set point for an alarm band and deviation alarm. For an absolute alarm, it functions only at start-up.

P9 OFFSET: input offset

- 19.9/ 19.9 DC for scale 5

- 199 / 199 DC/oF for all other scales.

The offset is algebraically added to the measurement.

P10 SOFT-START function threshold

The SOFT-START function limits the maximum output power "OLH" for a time "tOL" (OLH and tOL should be programmed in parameter definition mode) when, at start-up the measurement is below the threshold value programmed for this stage.

Enter this threshold value.

P11 Parameter lock

0 = device parameters unlocked.

All parameters can be modified.

1 = device parameters locked.

No parameter can be modified except for the set point SP.

2 to 499 = select a secret code (to be remembered) between these two values. In parameter definition mode, when scrolling through the menu, the display will show the following:

1) either

meaning that the device parameters 'OFF I are not locked and that all parameters can be modified.

To lock the parameters, key in a figure or number different to the secret code. Now, no parameter can be changed except the set point SP.

2) or

meaning that the device parameters are locked and that none of the parameters can be modified except the set point SP.

To unlock the parameters, key in your secret code.

500 to 999 = select a secret code (to be remembered) between these two values.

The principle is the same as that above but this time, when the parameters are locked, the only values that can be changed are the set point SP and the alarm AL.

INSTRUMENT CONFIGURATION

Run time and configuration modes

General notes

When the instrument is in run time mode and no modification parameter is in progress, the instrument displays the measured variable (we define this condition “normal display mode").The instrument parameters are divided in two families:

- Run time parameters (formed by the groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, default and hidden).

- Configuration parameters

At power up, the instrument starts in the same mode (configuration or run time) it was prior to the power OFF.

CTD24 Temperature Controller

General note about graphic symbols used for mnemonic code visualization.

The instrument displays some characters with special symbols. The following table shows the correspondence between the symbols and the characters.

Page 17: CROUZET TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS. CT 48 CTD 43, CTD 46, & CTH 46 CTD 24 MIC 48.

CTD24 Temperature ControllerKeyboard description

FUNC = when the instrument is in "normal display mode", if depressed for less than 4 S., it changes the indication on the display (see "Alternative function of display”).

when the instrument is in "normal display mode”, if depressed for more than 4 S., it enables the lamp test (see "Lamp Test" paragraph).

During parameter modification, it allows to memorize the new value of the selected parameter and go to the next parameter (increasing order).

REV = When the instrument is in "normal display mode", if depressed for more than 4 S., it is possible to disable the control output (see "Output power OFF" paragraph).

During parameter modification, it allows to scroll back the parameters without memorizing the new setting.

= During parameter modification, the first pressure allows to display the current value or status of the selected parameter, the

following pressure allows to increase this value or to change the status.

= During parameter modification, the first pressure allows to display me current value or status of the selected parameter, the

following pressure allows to decrease this value or to change the status.

Page 18: CROUZET TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS. CT 48 CTD 43, CTD 46, & CTH 46 CTD 24 MIC 48.

CTD24 Temperature Controller + FUNC = During parameter modification they allow to increase the

value under modification with higher rate.

+ FUNC = If depressed for less than 4 s. they allow to scroll the run time parameter groups in increasing order (only when the

mnemonic code of a group is displayed [for ex. Gr.1]).

During parameter modification they allow to decrease the value under modification with higher rate.

When the instrument is in "normal display mode., if depressed for more than 4 s., they allow to start the configuration mode.

+ REV = If depressed for less than 4 s. they allow to scroll the run time parameter groups in decreasing order (only when the mnemonic code of a group is displayed [for ex. Gr.1]). 0 During parameter modification they allow to jump to the

max. programmable value.

+ REV = During parameter modification they allow to jump to the min. programmable value.

Page 19: CROUZET TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS. CT 48 CTD 43, CTD 46, & CTH 46 CTD 24 MIC 48.

NOTES: 1) All the actions above explained which require the pressure of two or

more keys must follow exactly the keys sequence shown. 2) A 10 or 30 seconds time out (see nt10uH) can be selected for parameter modification during run time mode. If, during parameter modification, no key is depressed for more than 10 (30) seconds, the instrument goes automatically to the "normal display mode" and the eventual modification of the last parameter will be lost.

Hardware protection for configuration parameters modification

Hardware protection for configuration parameters modify mode is available, it is located on the solder side of the instrument circuit.

The instrument is shipped from factory without any parameter protection.

For complete instructions, see the instruction manual at:

http://www.crouzet-usa.com/downloads/controls/

* The lower and upper limits of the measurement scale are used to limit the amplitude of the scale used by the PID algorithm, the SMART function, the alarm functions and hysteresis in ON/OFF mode. This is in order to optimize

control.
