free Lesson Assessments!
Anytime the pool is open, come on down and we can assess you for FREE. Just ask the front desk. The assessment may take up to 15 min depending on swim level.
Lifeguard preparation can begin at age 8…Canadian Swim Patrol training provides a head start for the Bronze Metal awards needed to become a certified National Lifeguard.
ProgressiveThe program consists of three levels or award crests: Rookie, Ranger & Star. Within each award crest there are three success seals focusing on Water Proficiency, First Aid and Recognition & Rescue.
ChallengingYoung swimmers will be challenged physically and mentally as they work through each seal to achieve distance & time bench marks that will prepare them for Bronze Star (see page 15 for the Lifeguard progression)
Self-PacedProgram is structured so that skills are successfully developed. Swimmers have the opportunity to spend as little or as much time as needed to accomplish their bench mark by working on different seals in all three levels at the same time.

Known as the Zumba “pool party,” Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, and even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Integrating Zumba philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all exhilarating! TRI Swim(15+)CDCC-Aquatics
Congratulations for making the big decision to try a TRI! The first leg of your triathlon should be the most enjoyable and relaxed part of the race. Good triathlon swimming can lead to a great race by setting you up for a successful bike and run. Unfortunately most triathletes get overwhelmed by the swim. This is largely due to the fact that swimming uses different muscles than biking and running and requires a different approach to oxygen uptake. The key to swimming a successful leg is to start training early, and now is the perfect time to start your triathlon training program with experienced CDCC coaches!
