Adopt Me...Ever struggle with finding the perfect birthday present

or something for Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, or graduation? The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department has the ideal gift for you!

Bear Hollow Zoo offers a unique program which allows individuals the opportunity to “adopt” a Zoo resident of his/her choice. Donations are used for exhibits, food, and wild-life education.

There is a sponsorship level that fits every budget and it makes a great gift idea - with no wrapping required.

Sponsorship levels are divided into the levels: Gold for $100, Silver for $50, and Bronze for $25. All of the Zoo’s resi-dents are available for “adoption” including the alligators, bald eagle, black bears, gopher tortoises, and opossums.

As an Adopt-An-Animal donor, individuals receive a photo of the animal adopted, an informational fact sheet, and a certificate of adoption. In addition to these items, at the Silver and Gold levels participants receive a plush animal (check with the zoo to see which animals are available) and an invitation to the special, behind the scenes Family Reunion program, held annually in November. At the Gold level, there will be a special “Thank You” in our e-newsletter!

To make an adoption, print out and complete the form available at www.athensclarkecounty.com/bearhollow. Mail the form, along with your donation check, to: Bear Hollow Zoo at Memorial Park, attn: Adopt-an-Animal Program, 293 Gran Ellen Drive, Athens, GA 30606. Checks should be made to “Bear Hollow Zoo Donations.”

Silver and Gold level adopters, please plan to pick up your Adopt-an-Animal package at the Zoo or include an addition-al $7.00 in your payment to cover shipping expenses.

Consider participating in the Adopt-An-Animal program! For more information, visit www.athensclarkecounty.com/bearhollow or call 706-613-3580.
