• I have chosen this song because it’s fast paced and catchy. I also think I could create an interesting music video to it as the original one does not have much going on. It is performance based.

• The genre is rock-pop.

•The target audience of my music video are girls aged 15-19 who like to have fun with their friends and dance.

• I expect my music video to be screened on MTV Hits and TMF which air music videos of this genre and would enable my target audience to watch it.

The Original Video• The original video is performance based with a lot of voyeurism through the use of close ups. The use of performance in the music video is important as the audience are able to make a connection to the band.

• The editing is fast paced to mirror the pace of the song.

My Music VideoIn my music video I will illustrate and amplify the lyrics by following Goodwin’s theories. The lyrics that I will amplify are ‘it’s only yourself you’re mocking’ by portraying a pop star that is fed up of the limelight and wants to get out of ‘stardom’.

There will be a relationship between the visuals and the lyrics as this is the story that the lyrics are telling. I will use close ups which offers voyeurism. Another aspect of voyeurism that I will use is of the paparazzi following and videoing her.

In my music video I propose to have a performance by the band which is typical of music videos in this genre. I will have the performance when the chorus plays as it is fast paced. The performance will allow the audience to have a connection with the band and make the video more interesting.

Talent I’m going to use this girl as she is someone who can portray a girl who has had enough of always being in the spotlight. It is essential that she looks like she is a star so that the audience can understand the narrative. The girl I’m using for the narrative will also be the lead singer in the band.

These are the people that I’m going to use inMy band as I think that they look like the Right kind of people to be in a pop band.

Location/ SettingI have chosen this wall as my location for the performance in my music video as I think it looks sleek and sophisticated. It is white and would give good lighting when I film my footage.
