Creating a sustainable online social commerce comment about project

Team's Comments about the Project Each team had to provide a short follow-up at the beginning, middle and the end of their research paper. This document will regroup all of these so that the reader can understand a little more the challenges that are encountered during class. Follow-Up #1 ( February 13, 2015) The goal of our project is to determine how, if possible, an e-commerce portal can compete with Amazon. To do so we are working with Sean Bacon who created Fit Travel Network, a network dedicated to build a community of travelers who want to stay fit while on the road. So far we have met twice with Sean and discussed the many challenges he faces with his portal as well as his goals concerning what he wants to achieve in order to start selling. Note that he has not opened a sales platform yet and the goal is to help him with this process. The biggest challenge so far has been communication with Sean since he is on exchange in Australia. We have done a lot of background research regarding what are the success factors for an e- commerce as well as what are the steps to launch a the portal sales. Another challenge has to deal with the value we can bring to costumers, in other words why would someone buy it of Fit Travel Network (FTN) at a higher price than Amazon. In order to better understand the needs of FTN’s potential clientele we have been looking into twitter using hashtags to get in conversations. We are also looking in the products he should sell, whether it should be in general fitness or specialized product for road workouts. Follow-Up #2 and Overall Comment Not Available

Team's Comments about the Project

Each team had to provide a short follow-up at the beginning, middle and the end of their

research paper. This document will regroup all of these so that the reader can understand a

little more the challenges that are encountered during class.

Follow-Up #1 ( February 13, 2015)

The goal of our project is to determine how, if possible, an e-commerce portal can compete

with Amazon. To do so we are working with Sean Bacon who created Fit Travel Network, a

network dedicated to build a community of travelers who want to stay fit while on the road. So

far we have met twice with Sean and discussed the many challenges he faces with his portal as

well as his goals concerning what he wants to achieve in order to start selling. Note that he has

not opened a sales platform yet and the goal is to help him with this process. The biggest

challenge so far has been communication with Sean since he is on exchange in Australia. We

have done a lot of background research regarding what are the success factors for an e-

commerce as well as what are the steps to launch a the portal sales. Another challenge has to

deal with the value we can bring to costumers, in other words why would someone buy it of Fit

Travel Network (FTN) at a higher price than Amazon. In order to better understand the needs of

FTN’s potential clientele we have been looking into twitter using hashtags to get in

conversations. We are also looking in the products he should sell, whether it should be in

general fitness or specialized product for road workouts.
