Create a Dynamic Plan to Tackle HR Issues.Stop putting people management on the backburner and start getting the most out of your people.26% of IT leaders indicated their department is currently facing HR related issues.

These issues include: High turnover,Low employee engagement,Difficulty sourcing applicants,Weak employee development.Poor leadership and managerial skills.

If left unaddressed, these issues will fester and surface at an inopportune time.Pull Over for a Pit Stop

In order for the IT department to run like a race car, the CIO must make time for a pit stop in the middle of the race. A pit stop may seem counterproductive in the short-term if the goal is to reach the finish line in the fastest time; however, in the long-term a pit stop will recharge employees and prevent a catastrophic breakdown that will prevent you from reaching the finish line.On average, the number of IT employees classified as “engaged” was 9.1% lower than the employees in the rest of the organization. Perhaps more interesting is that the majority of the difference fell into the “almost engaged” and “indifferent” categories instead of the “disengaged” category. This implies that IT employees are actually on the cusp on being “engaged” and if the CIO takes measures to improve engagement in their department, many of the HR issues facing IT leaders will disappear.
