Book Fair a Grand Success: Our book fair has ended, thank you to all the volunteers which helped during the week’s event. We are even able to purchase chrome books with profits made from previous book fairs!

2 nd Posting - Free &/or Reduced Lunch Applications Deadline Next Week : Families, if you’ve already filled out the application and/or are currently receiving reduced or free school lunch for your child(ren) the roll-over date is next week, October 6th. The fastest way to renew your child’s application is online at www.ApplyForLunch.com Whether you think you will qualify or not, it only takes a minute to complete the application. Getting free and/or reduced school breakfast and lunch not only helps on your “pocket books” but it helps get our school federal funding as well. Please take the time to complete an application online this week. Welcome Ms. Taylor, our new Art Teacher: We were so grateful to have an amazing guest teacher as Mrs. Byrd! She’s done a wonderful job in our art room with all of our students and the student projects have been incredible. Mrs. Byrd has three more days with us to assist in the transition of our full-time Art Teacher.

We are pleased to finally announce that we have hired an Art Teacher, Ms. Rebecca Taylor! She comes with a lot of experience and enthusiasm for the fine arts, was a former Elementary Art Teacher in Maryland and worked here in CCSD as an Art Teacher who was split between 4 different elementary schools! Yikes! We are very fortunate to get our Specialists all to ourselves and we don’t have to share! Ms. Taylor is very passionate about elementary art and believes in integrating art into all subject areas!

Parents – taking awesome pictures of your child at school? Don’t forget, when you visit us or attend school events and take cool pics to send them to your child’s teacher so the pics

can be emailed to our Yearbook Chair!
