Filling out your current courses- Each of you will receive a course request form

from me that looks like this:Start by filling out

your basic

information (e.g.

name, pupil

number, etc.).

Afterwards, circle

and write in all of

your current

courses and your

current teachers’

names

Graduation RequirementsTo graduate in B.C., you need to complete a total of 80

course credits (a full-year course is worth 4 credits)

• Below are courses you need to complete:

Language Arts 10, 11, 12 (12 credits)

Social Studies 10, 11/12 (8 credits)

Science 10, 11/12 (8 credits)

Mathematics 10, 11/12 (8 credits)

Physical & Health Ed 10 (4 credits)

Career Life Ed. 10 (4 credits)

Fine Arts/Applied Skills 10/11/12 (4)

* Grade 10/11 Electives (16 cr.)

* Grade 12 Electives (12 cr.)

Exploring Available Courses (1)A ‘typical’ grade 10 timetable would look

STEM and Mini have specific required and elective courses

You may choose an off-timetable course to “stretch” your

schedule so you can have one more elective course.

In addition to courses you can take at Templeton, students can also choose to attend

summer school for completion courses or take an online course for additional credits.

This is especially true for students thinking of taking multiple courses in a particular

subject area in grades 11 and 12.

required courses you want to take

• For line 6, enter Career Life Education 10 (CLE 10)

• For lines 7 & 8, choose a) a language + elective or b) two elective courses (you can add a 9th course if it is an off-timetable course)

• For alt. choices 1 to 3, choose three other alternateelective courses – they will become your electivecourse(s) if the one(s) you are chooseing in lines 7 or 8 cannot be given to you.

• Return your course request form to me before February 8
