CHILDREN’S HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST Saturday, October 19th ♦ 9:00a.m – 9:45. Check-in ♦ 10:00 – 11:00a.m. Contest & Winners REGISTERING and CHECK-IN You must register in advance by sending the completed registration form to Country Life at: 4271 County Road 2546 Quinlan, TX 75474 or scan and E-mail to FunFestCostumeContest@gmail.com . Registration deadline is October 15th - No exceptions as we have a tight schedule to keep for everyone. Participants will be divided into the following competition categories: Most Original, Most Authentic, Scariest, Cutest, Funniest, and Infants (0-18mo). All entrants will be eligible for Best of Show and People’s Choice awards. Contestants and guardians must check-in between 9:00 – 9:45 with Lily Spencer behind the Main Stage under the tent and wait for contest to begin at 10:00. COSTUME CONTEST RULES ♦ The Royse City FunFest Halloween Costume Contest is open to children ages 0 – 14. ♦ There is no entry fee for the Costume Contest. ♦ Costumes must be self-contained. Connections to electrical sockets will not be available. ♦ Costumes will be judged on creativity, attention to detail, safety and wearer’s presentation. Extra credit will be given for costumes that are

completely homemade. ♦ No costumes that would be banned in a ‘PG-13’ rated film will be allowed. ♦ Judges for the Halloween Costume Contest and their immediate family members are not eligible for the Contest. JUDGING AND AWARDS ♦ Judging will occur on October 19th. All entrants will have a chance to parade across the stage individually (or with parent or guardian), have

their name, costume name and category announced. ♦ You will need to remain throughout the Costume Contest to be eligible for an award. ♦ The Halloween Costume Contest awards will be announced after all costumes have been exhibited. ♦ Upon being announced as winner, you will be asked to walk to the front of the stage to receive a gift. ♦ All registered contestants in the Contest will receive a participation gift. IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION ♦ The judges shall have the sole authority and discretion to select the winners. ♦ All minors (those under 18 years of age) must have permission from a legal guardian to participate. ♦ By registering, all Halloween Costume Contest Participants agree to let the Royse City Chamber of Commerce to use their images for

promotional purposes, both photographs & video. ♦ Each entrant shall indemnify, defend and hold the Royse City Chamber of Commerce and its members harmless from any third party

claims arising from or related to that entrant’s participation in the contest. In no event shall the Royse City Chamber of Commerce be liable to an entrant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the Contest or that entrant’s participation in the Contest.
