About us

Ever since our inception we have always worked towards helping the world become a better place. We have collaborated with various organizations and we’ve also worked independently for causes which are close to our heart. We believe that to build a nation, every small contribution and every small effort counts.

During the initial years we decided that we wanted to work in three major areas- Education, Environment and social well-being. However, these categories aren’t fenced by any fixed boundaries. We keep on expanding our initiatives and are willing to contribute more each passing year.

Tie up with Aarohi Bal Sansar (ABS)

Aarohi Bal Sansar started its journey as a pre-primary school in 1994 in Satoli. The village communities expressed a need for a sort of better learning ground for education. The poorly run government schools were available but the communities valued the need for quality education. Feeding into the need of the local communities and building on Aarohi’s philosophy of long term integrated sustainable growth, ABS took birth.

As an organization, we have a group of members who have formed a group named Udhyam that frequently takes initiative of traveling to ABS, Satoli. Based on mutually agreed timelines, we take out time from our regular office days and spend 3-4 working days in the school (twice in a year).

The purpose of visit is defined by the school administration and it’s based on the needs of the students. For example- sometimes the school staff needs helps with teaching and other times they need us to take hobby and sports classes. So, we work with them towards creating a holistic learning plan and then Quants volunteer to visit the school and help in teaching the students.

Association with Project Unnati

An initiative run by Enactus- A group that has been founded by the kids at Delhi Technological University.

Project Unnati, an Initiative by Enactus DTU aims to eradicate the problem of digital illiteracy by organizing teaching workshops to benefit the underprivileged communities in urban slums which are supplemented by a Cyber Cafe. Students (of all age-groups) can take the benefits of the Cyber Café at a minimal fee and avail the benefit of practical learning.

They also have a Student-Mentor Program which enhances the teaching-learning process and ensures that the services provided by the entrepreneur are satisfactory. Entrepreneurs run the Cyber Café from 10 am to 9 pm in shifts for providing internet and other vital services (such as Railway Ticket Reservation, etc.)

Project Unnati has also adopted a healthy E-Waste Management technique. The project involves usage of refurbished laptops laptops via: Collaboration with Flipkart and by E-Waste Collection Drive in the College. Cyber café also allows the people of Badli to earn money online via Data Entry Jobs and Digitize India Portal. Thus, it aims to supplement the income received by the people living in Urban Slums, by the weapon of Digital Literacy and the opportunities associated with it.

In 2018, we visited the Shahbad dairy for one of the Digital literacy weekend. We are also contributing old laptops that can be used by the Volunteers at the outlets across their locations.

Tree plantation drive during Republic day celebrations (2019)

There is no doubt that Delhi’s air quality has degraded from bad to worse over a period of few years. While all of us are responsible for it in some of the other way, this year, we thought of undoing some of our mistakes by organizing a tree plantation drive.

We chose 26 Jan as the day of plantation drive to show our unity towards striving for a better nation. All the Quants gathered and planted saplings in and around the office. Here are some of the pictures that we took during the plantation drive.

Tree plantation when we moved to our new office (2018)

We moved to our new (and bigger) office space at Noida in June, 2018. While all us were in celebratory mood, we decided that we need to do something more impactful. Noida is known as the IT hub of Delhi. If you start counting the number of companies, probability is that you’ll lose count before you reach even half count.

Before officially moving in, we visited our office space and realized that the nearby area had very few green area. So, we decided to take that responsibility and collectively approved of beginning our new innings with a plantation drive.

Tree plantation drive during Independence Day celebrations (2015)

We are always conscious of the impact that we are making on our environment and how we can reduce our carbon footprint. That’s why, we join hands quite frequently to indulge in environmental initiatives. When we were in our old office space at Sagar Tower, Janakpuri, we celebrated the Independence day with a tree plantation drive.

Cleanliness drive around our office

In our old office location at Sagar Tower, Janakpuri, the area was around a District Center which was a hub for many different kinds of professionals and shop owners. Due to sheer lack of respect for environment, people often threw their trash on roads, outside dustbins, and just anywhere they found space.

With due respect, we don’t blame them. There is a very little awareness among people regarding how waste should be disposed and treated. So, one day, we took it upon ourselves and dedicated a whole day towards cleaning the area around our office. We took hold of brooms and walked on roads to collect any trash material we saw.

Joy of Giving

Joy of Giving is our ongoing social cause where every quarter we join hands with a social organization to help make a difference to our society. We partner with one or more small/ big not-for-profit organizations in order to contribute in our own little ways. The contributions vary at all times and we donate in various forms like books, clothes, stationary, winter essentials, etc. In 2018 and 2019, we celebrated Joy of Giving with the kids from Arya Gurukul and kids from Spread Happiness Club (Kirat Karni Vand Chakna).

Christmas celebration with Spread Happiness club (KKVC)

Spread Happiness club (Kirat Karni Vand Chakna) is a not-for-profit initiative by one of our Quant, Harmeet Singh, who works towards making a better world and is helping in his own small way to uplift the future of these children. In 2018, we joined hands with the club to spread the holiday cheer and made friends with these super-energetic kids. There was a group of 20 kids who visited our office and saw how is it that they could one-day come along and work and make a career in the IT world. There was an office tour organized with them, a storytelling session and some of the teams even played random games with them.

Diwali celebration with a fundraising for Spread Happiness club (KKVC)

We added a special flavour of sharing Diwali cheer in 2018 with the kids from Spread Happiness Club (Kirat Karni Vand Chakna). This is an NGO that works for upliftment and education of kids from underprivileged sections of our society. These young and creative champs made amazingly beautiful Diwali gift items, decorated diyas and hand-made cards to make our Diwali special. Harmeet from our organization who is also one of the founders of this club, organized a stall with all these handmade items sent by the club. It was not only a fundraising event but also a path through which these kids made a place in our hearts with their creative thinking and love while making all the gift items.

Holi celebration with children of Arya Gurukul

Holi, the festival of colors was celebrated with excitement to bring about the festive mood in Quants. During festive season, we don’t limit ourselves and we love to spread happiness around. So like every year, Quants came together to volunteer and we celebrated Holi this year by visiting Arya Gurukul (a shelter home for underprivileged kids).

We got Holi colors, water-guns and sweets for the kids and spent a splendid afternoon interacting with these young champs. Kids were are happy, they sang and danced and celebrated the festival with us making it all the more special and memorable for us.
