Q: What is the best piece of career advice you have been given?
S: Be Yourself”J: “That’s exactly what I’d say; you can only fake it for so long. Also Steve Jobs said you’ve got to like what you do and I think that’s so relevant.”“Q: What is the most rewarding thing about working within this industry?
S: Client Satisfaction, receiving good feedback when people have enjoyed their stays.”J: “Yes, I agree clients first – Achieving targets is also a good feeling though.”“Q: What has been your most embarrassing moment?
S: Oh God, there is so many to choose from – I tend to trip over a lot so probably tripping over in front of a lot of people, like at a conference when I’ve tried to sneak out the back or something.”J: “I locked my former boss in a lift once - that was embarrassing. It was in my first few months of starting there as well.“S: “[Laughs] don’t ask if it was intentional.”

Q: What’s the most bizarre experience that you’ve had at work?
J: Bumping into Will Smith and his wife, Jada, in one of our hotel lobbies.”S: “Oh, I don’t have anything like that – I am a Guinness world record holder though, for stuffing pillows.““
Q: Have any hidden talents?
J: I’m a skydiver – I haven’t done it for about two years but I have my licence and everything.”S: “I played piano when I was younger and got to teaching level – I’m not sure if I can remember now though [laughs].”“Q: What's your favourite song of all time?
S: Ooo, good question! I think I’d go for something classic [hesitates].”J: “Hmm, I might go for something cheesy like ‘Abba – dancing queen’ [laughs] don’t write that!”S: “I’m going to go for Bryan Adams – everything i do, a classic!”J: “I’m going to go for Coldplay – clocks.”S: “Yeah, you’re quite an indie girl.”
“Q: What was the first CD/Record that you bought
J: Mine was Madonna – I think it was Material girl.”S: “Oh yours is quite a good one. Mine was a tape of C+C Music Factory – they were a bit like Vanilla Ice.”“
Q: You have to spend £1 million in 24 hours, what would you buy?
J: Build a hotel.”S: “I think I’d get on a plane somewhere exotic and then think about it more.”J: “That’s a good idea; I’m just creating more work for myself!““
Q: Who or what is your guilty pleasure?
Both: [Laughs] good question!”J: “Probably my Abba collection.”S: “Mine’s probably that I’m the biggest boy band fan ever – One Direction and everything.”“

How did you first come to use us Richard?
I found you on Google. Having been asked to book a rarely needed small meeting room, I came across your findmeaconference.com website. My query was dealt with by Jenny who is a great ambassador for your company. When she told me all you offered I realized that I could also book accommodation through your findmeahotelroom.com brand. Your Business Development team talked me through the simple account set up procedure, since when I have used your service to place all my bookings.

Why do you need to book accommodation and meeting rooms?
Hotel accommodation is needed for all staff out on the road, such as joiners, contractors, project managers, contract managers and the board of directors. The needs vary from 3* to 5* all over the UK. From time to time I also have to book small meeting rooms.
What are your thoughts now?
I now deal mainly with Emma, Alex and Sarah in the findmeahotelroom .com team who are an absolute credit to the business. The response time is excellent and my bookings are always dealt with promptly and efficiently. This has saved so much time and money and has been a huge benefit to Johnson Construction.
What were your first thoughts?

Good afternoon Margaret,
Thank you for contacting me about our accommodation requirements, I am sure this could be beneficial to both parties. The enquiry was initially made after speaking to Jenny French, who helped me considerably in finding a conference room in Stockport near Manchester.
I stumbled across your group quite by chance. I was given the task of finding a venue for a meeting with a "Blue Chip" client as close to the post code SK4 5DL. as possible. Organising meeting rooms is something I don’t do on a regular basis, so I Googled the post code and found the Innkeepers Lodge, rang the number and somehow got through to Jenny. She explained that the Innkeepers Lodge was a partner hotel which you did bookings for.
Jenny was very efficient, courteous and helpful. It turned out that in this instance the Innkeepers Lodge could not facilitate our needs, but Jenny recommended a number of alternative venues and also gave me good advice as to which may be more suitable for our needs. Things like access, stairs, whether the room had natural daylight or not. The price which is also a factor was within our budget. We chose the venue and Jenny did everything else.
Last Friday I was scratching my head thinking about the best way to approach the problem. Today I am sat at my desk with everything arranged, venue, contracts, price and a happy Key Account Manager.
Thanks to Jenny’s help, the whole process was totally stress free. Please convey my sincere thanks to her. Your number is in my little blue book for any future bookings.
I now look forward to receiving the information regarding our accommodation requirements. We touched on budgets for accommodation for our operatives, managers and directors, during our telephone conversation today. These are not "cast in stone" and can be flexible, depending on what area of the country we are working in.
