OUR METHOD || DEMAND-DRIVEN

Page 14: Copy of OpenTechLA_PresentationFundersPartners

• We work with partner company to develop hiring projections in tech, with the close participation of leadership, internal and external recruiters.

• Classify position openings by need into immediate (1-3 months), short-term (4-12 months), and long-term (12-24 months).

Page 15: Copy of OpenTechLA_PresentationFundersPartners

• Create position profiles that list the skills, competencies, credentials, experience, and other requirements to succeed in each position.

• Profile will outline company culture as expressed in core mission, values, workflows, and brand to ensure a good fit between employer and employee.

Page 16: Copy of OpenTechLA_PresentationFundersPartners

• Develop clear pathways to these positions: How can these skills and competencies best be acquired? How can they be refined through real-world experience?

• Pathways must include both classroom and non-traditional training, including boot-camps, hackathons, online courses, on-the-job learning, internships, pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, and other modes of skills acquisition.

Page 17: Copy of OpenTechLA_PresentationFundersPartners

We combine public and private funding streams to minimize fiscal impact on the company, including partial reimbursements for training costs.
