MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL . . .

Dear Valued Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to our Term 3 2018 newsletter. We explored the theme ‘My Country’, where the children

participated in various celebrations like Hari Raya, Racial Harmony & National Day and had a

deeper understanding of the different races and cultures in our country.

Thank you parents for your wonderful support and contributions thus far. We hope for your

continued support towards your child’s holistic development. A big thank you also to all families for

the wonderful cards, flowers and gifts that our teachers had received during our Teacher’s Day

celebration. Your generosity is greatly appreciated . We certainly had a wonderful celebration

with the teachers.

We welcome the first week of Term 3 by having a Hari Raya celebration on

Friday, 29 June 2018.

The theme was “Warna Warni Aidilfitri”. Children came dressed in

vibrant traditional clothes and they were in their best spirit.

We would like to thank the parents for their generous contributions to

the festive goodies!

We celebrated Racial Harmony Day together with Care for

the Differently Abled on 23 July 2018. Children were seen

dressed in traditional costumes from the various races.

Besides inculcating the need to live in harmony with the

different races in Singapore, we want to also promote an

awareness of how the differently abled people complete

their daily tasks.

We hope children will learn to respect different individuals

and be thankful for what they are blessed with.

Read for Books

The K1 and K2 children were excited

to welcome the SCC brothers and

sisters from Junyuan Primary School for

a reading session on 26 July 2018.

It is part of the National Reading

Movement campaign by the National

Library Board.to raise awareness of

reading and sharing the joy of

reading to others.

KMK had their National Day celebration on 8 August.

The children learned the significant of the Singapore flag, the

meaning of National Day and enjoy a simple sing along and

dance activity.

We are also pleased to have a parent, Mdm Azlin that came over

for a sharing session. Part of her short talk was on why we

should be proud to be a Singaporean.

His birthday falls on 9 August!

‘Places of Interest & Singapore, My

Country’, the children of KMK visited

Gardens by the Bay for our Term 3 trip.

The children were awed by the

beautiful flora all around.

“Superheroes” theme was the theme for our Teacher’s Day

celebration at Kidz Meadow Kindergarten on 30 August 2018.

The children were encouraged to dress up as their favourite

superhero as a tribute to the teachers for being our daily

superheroes at the centre.

We learned how to spread fruit jam and

place five small pieces of cut apples onto a

round-shaped biscuit. We had fun eating

healthy! Yummy!

Yeay it is Singapore’s birthday! We decorated our school

with our craft buntings and made it colourful!
