On May 22-23, 2009, KSC arranged “The Basic Photography

for Beginners: How to present the photo as you see it?” at

Third Place Studio Bangkok with Mr. Nutavut Peerabul, a

freelance photographer and the founder of U Smile School

of photographer as an instructor.

The course objectives are to make attendees familiar with

camera, its operation, lights, shooting modes, types of shooting

and their effects, light metering and light metering techniques

and composition. They learnt basic of portrait shooting and also

how to choose and to use various lens distances. The training

combines lecture and workshop to make it more practical.

Besides the photographing course, KSC also organizes many of

How to store Log required by the Crime Act without

investment in servers?

Refer to the Computer Related Crime Act B.E. 2550, Internet Service

Providers and other corporate which provide other persons to access

the Internet are required to store Internet traffic data for at least 90

days. The Internet traffic data means data related to communications

of computers systems. Therefore, every corporate needs to procure

hardware and staff to response to the Act.

Fully Distributed Architectures

This model of architecture caters the need to resize and get

a backing up system by fully distribute the server and the

database. In this model, the server is a stand-alone

application that is managed by an administrator of each

system. Usually, an administrator can access and manage

several servers as long as the IP between servers is

connected. The server doesn’t connect to the identification

storage space. The information is encrypted and stored in

general database or entry directory. The server call those

information when the user logs on. The advance SSO that

is operated in this model of architecture benefits from the

resizable database, which support the repeated activities

such as the Oracle or the SQL Server.

The Fully Distributed Architectures has many advantages,

especially its capacity in transaction resizing and back-up

system. The servers are distributed in the organization and

it help speeding the network as these servers direct to the

database to get the identification. Then database

synchronizing then benefit the data backing up.

With this architecture, the logging on process is transferred

to the network resource. If the SSO agent operated on the

client’s desktop can connect the IP with the SSO server, then

the identification can be retrieved and cached for offline

logging on to execute it. However, one question is agent

will be used in different environment, which is the normal

situation of today organization? The answer is, with the

increasing agent capacities today, the administrator has

optional features of agent to cater their requirement to use

in different platform in the organization.

Challenges.

The SSO architecture implementation must agree with IT-

aspect complication; application database server, size of

applications, users and goal. To bring it to use, the SSO

implementation is vary, according to usage. At the below

line, the SSO is adapted in other technologies and policies

to make the users identification unique, which are personal

username and password.

The organization should use the SSO model that is

appropriate to the usage. Today Both Microsoft and Sun has

expanded their capacity in managing username and ID,

which is tend to be more and more complicated as we can

see in Microsoft Passport or Sun Liberty Alliance. These

developments make the user can access to other company’s

database, such as partners or alliances. This leads to the

administrators more responsibility in network security

managing.

Brain Exercise or Neurobics Exercise is another way to prevent premature Alzheimer’s decease. Brain exercise is the same as physical exercise that needs muscles functional movement. When you challenge each part of the brain to work in collaborate, it will strengthen your brain. As you give your brain a frequent workout, it produces neurotrophins, which is like nutrition for your brain and helps strengthen nerves connections and helps your dendrite grow and stay stronger.

To give your brain an exercise, you will need to use your 5 physical senses- sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste to work with your emotional senses;

• Do activities that need 2 hands to works together, such as disking or sewing. These activities stimulate both sides of the brain and make them work more efficiently.

• Close your eyes while listening to music to focus on the song.

• Mold a figure from dough or make flowers from dough stimulate skin’s touch.

• Change to new route when driving- new scenery, smell and sound that you experience on the new route will help stimulate the brain and hippocampus to create a map for new paths in your brain.

• Change the way you travel. If you normally drive to work, you may change to a bus or a BTS.

• Open windows while driving to connect your senses with outside smell and sounds to help senses work more corporately.

• Exercise your brain during work. Talk to a new staff or colleagues whom you haven’t talked to before. This will input new information to your brain as well as face, sound, personal behavior regcognization.

These activities make your brain cell stronger and also lead to the intelligence- remembrance, concentration and perception and create the behavior as well as advanced brain functions- consideration, finding solutions, making decision and planning. This makes your brain strong, works efficiently and slowdown brain damage. The brain exercise strengthens your brain just like a physical exercise works with your body.

KSC Member column is where we introduce an organization that is one of KSC subscribers and also to publicize the organization to other members. In this issue, it’s our pleasure to introduce Christian University of Thailand.

Christian University of Thailand was founded by The Church of Christ in Thailand Foundation, which is the non-profit organization. The university offers bachelor degree programs, Master’s degree programs and doctoral’s degree programs in 2 campuses, one is located at Amphur Muang, Nakornpathom and the other is located at Siam Complex, 8th and 9th floor of The Church of Christ in Thailand Foundation building, Phyathai Road, Rajtevee, Bangkok.

The university developed its ICT system to be high-speed wireless Internet, covers the whole campus area, enhancing capacity of students’ learning experience by using the information technologies. The university also provides latest software for students’ vocational practice. It also devotes to the development of technologies and educational aids, such as building a language lab and computer lab that equipped with updated software.

In 2007, the university has built vocational labs with modern equipments that meet international standard. It is a multimedia and animation lab for multimedia and animation movie production training. In 2009, the university is implementing the interactive English teaching program to use in English language classes in more than 30 courses for bachelor’s and master’s degree students.

It is obvious that the university values technologies and Internet usage. Its Internet connection is provided by KSC Commercial Internet Co., Ltd. because KSC provides highly-stable Internet network and has fine back up links. HTTPS คออะไร

What is HTTPS?

HTTS or Hypertext Transfer Protocol Security is HTTP protocol

security system for data exchange between a server and a

client. This technology was invented by Netscape in late 1994

to make the data transmitting secured and ensure that the

data is delivered between a sender and a receiver as

determined. The information will not be vary. HTTPS uses port

443 by default with authentication and encryption within HTTP.

HTTPS URLs begin with “https://”. A key sign in front of the

web browser tell whether the website we are browsing use

using secured data transmission system. The key sign

represents the SSL security system.
