End of Year Examinations

• Students in Year 7 to Year 9 will be taking examinations in the week after the half term break (week commencing 6th June).

The timetable for the examinations will be based on students’ normal timetables with some adjustments to allow for longer examinations in certain subjects. Most examinations will take place in classrooms but some will be in larger venues such as the hall or gym.

The examination timetable will be published to students and in High Notes before half term. As always, students must be properly equipped and should not expect to be lent basic equipment. Students should also ensure that, as usual, they have a good reading book with them as there will be additional opportunities for private reading during this week.

Students should be revising now in preparation for these examinations.

• Students in Year 10 will be taking examinations in weeks commencing 20th and 27th June, with some practical examinations taking place during week commencing 13th June.

These examinations will take place mainly in formal examination venues such as the assembly hall. Students will receive a timetable shortly beforehand and should not wait to receive their timetable before commencing revision.

A polite request

Several members of the public have notified us of incidents occurring at the Wilmslow allotment areas involving students making fires.

It appears that much of this is harmless fun and is not intended to cause any damage or vandalism. Similarly, we are not 100% certain that any Wilmslow High school students are involved. However, the residents have advised that there has been some damage to property and they will now be informing the police of any trespass or anti-social behaviour in these locations.

Students are therefore advised to avoid these allotment areas (as they are private property) so as not to be associated with these issues.

It is also timely to remind students of their collective responsibility out in the community and ensure they look out for one another to ensure everyone remains safe whilst also representing Wilmslow High school with pride.
