RECEIVES LEED SILVER CERTIFICATION

Dunn Building Company’s new office building recently re-ceived LEED

Silver Certification. LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Envi-ronmental Design, is a green building certification program that recognizes best-in-class building strategies and prac-tices. 2015 NATIONAL STEP AWARD & ALABAMA SAFE DAY AWARD

Dunn Building Company once again received the STEP (Gold) Safety Award as well as was named Safe Day Gold Award Winner from ABC. ABC’s 2015 Safety Day Awards showcase companies that have outstanding corporate Safety & Health plans and exhibit superior safety initiatives. The awards will be presented at the 11th Annual A w a r d Celebration on April 17, 2015 at the Westin Hotel in Birmingham.

Block Kids Compe on   Dunn employees volunterred on January 16th at Cornerstone School in Birmingham for the NAWIC (Na onal Associa on of Women in Construc on) Block Kids Compe on. The Block Kids Program introduces children to the construc on industry in an effort to create an awareness of and to pro‐mote an interest in future careers in

one of the many facets of the industry.

DUNN MERCEDES MARATHON RELAY TEAM

RAISES OVER $3,000 FOR THE FIREHOUSE SHELTER

The Dunn relay team participated for the 4th year in a row at the Mercedes Marathon raising over $3,000 for the Firehouse Shelter.

The relay team finished 61 out of 223 teams.

Brian Blake (Superintendent) is the latest addi on to the Dunn

Building Company Team. Brian will work out of our Mobile,

Alabama office. Brian is a military veteran

and has been working in the construc on

industry since 1994 and brings to us a vast

knowledge in both the commercial and in‐

dustrial industry on both small and very

large projects. We are excited to have

Brian on board.

NEW PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Dunn Building Company Selected as

General Contractor for

Blastech Mobile, LLC Expansion Dunn Building Company has started construction

on a 19,500 SF expansion for Steel Plate Fabricator

Blastech Mobile, LLC.

Dunn is performing civil,

concrete, pre-engineered

building and the crane

steel.

With this expansion,

Blastech will be increasing

local fulltime employment

and steel plate production.

Dunn’s Project Manager is Allan Gustin and

Superintendent is Tommy Tidwell.

Associated Builders & Contractors Awards of Excellence Program

has become the premiere compe on within the construc on

industry that recognizes outstanding construc on projects across

Alabama. Dunn received an award at the 2014 Excellence in Con‐

struc on Awards Banquet held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at

the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham for the Airbus Military North

NEARS COMPLETION

OF NEW PENSKE SERVICE CENTER

Dunn Building Company is nearing completion of this new 8,640 SF Penske Service Center for Dunn Real Estate. This is the first building in the Dunn Industrial Park located on Airpark Industrial Road in Alabaster, Alabama. The building is a pre-engineered metal building with integrated tilt-up walls. Also a large site will be prepped for truck staging and parking. A fuel island has also been incorporated for refueling of the serviced trucks. Owen Trotter is the Project Manager and Doug Collins is Superintendent for this project.
