Consecrate Russia Now!The following is an edited transcript of the rst speechgiven by Father Nicholas Gruner at the Fatima CentersConsecration Now! Conference held in Rome from May 9to 13, 2011.

ood morning. Let usrst pray a Hail Mary,asking Our Lady to

help us understand Her Mes-sage in all its gravity. (HailMary recited.)

The talk I am giving todayis about Consecration Now.First of all, we should ask our-selves why this Conference

and then why Consecrationand why Now!

I am sure you all know this,but I will just review it briey.

It all starts with a story. It isa story about each one of us,a story about all of us. Its astory about the whole world.

But it is notjust a story, itsa true story, its a story wereliving through right now.And it is not a childish story,it is very serious.

This story is not just to passthe time of day; it, ultimate-ly, is about our own salva-tion, peace in the world, and

whether we live through warin the next couple of years, or

whether we live through a pe-riod of peace without war.

Ultimately, its up to us, itsour responsibility. St. Thomastells us: against a fact, thereis no argument.

Let us start with the facts.In 1917, Pope Benedict XV, aVatican diplomat before he

became Pope, recognized,

aer three years of many ef-forts, that there was no wayout of World War I, that it wasdemonic and it could not bestopped, except for the inter-vention of Heaven.

And so, on the 5th of May1917, he appealed to the

Blessed Virgin, in a publicway in a leer to the CardinalVicar of Rome. He appealedin a public way for Her toshow him and all mankindthe way to peace.

Our Lady Responds toPope Benedict XV

The Blessed Virgin came,you might say, because the

Pope asked Her to come.Eight days later, She didcome. And over the next six

months, She explained theonly way to world peace.

On May 13, She cameto three children Jacinta,Francisco and Lucia andShe told them that Shewanted them to come backeach month for the next ve

months, until October 13.She told them always, ofcourse, to pray the Rosary.She told them that Shewould come back the nextmonth to tell them what elseShe wanted.

On June 13, as on May 13,She opened Her hands and a

light came from the palms ofHer hands.

On May 13, the light fellon the hearts of the childrenand they had a foretaste ofHeaven.

On June 13, the light fromthe palms of Her hands fell

on the children, and whenShe opened Her hands,the children could see theImmaculate Heart of Marycircled with thorns. Theyrecognized that these thornsrepresented the sins of men,that they oended Our Ladyvery much, and Our Ladywas looking for reparation toconsole Her.

The light also fell on thechildren dierently; the lightfrom one hand fell on Jacinta

and Francisco and went up toHeaven. The children under-stood in this light that theywere soon going to die and goto Heaven. Whereas the lightfrom the other hand fell onLucia and went down on theearth. Lucia understood that,

in this light, she would staylonger on earth.Now Our Lady didnt only

give them this understandinginteriorly, but She said it inwords as well.

The Children Are Shown

the Vision of Hell

We see that Our Lady ex-plains everything. On July 13,Our Lady opened Her handsand this time, when the chil-dren looked at the light, itdidnt fall on them but, rather,fell on the ground in front ofOur Lady, between Her andthe children.

They looked down to seewhat it was pointing to andthey could see the res of hell.Lucia tells us in her memoirs:

We saw, as it were, a vastsea of re, in which wereplunged, all blackened and

burnt, demons and souls in

human form like transparentembers. Raised into the air by

the ames they fell back inall directions, like sparks ina huge re, without weight

or poise, amidst loud criesand horrible groans of painand despair which caused usto shudder and tremble withfear. The demons were distin-guished by the horrible andrepellent forms of terrible un-known animals. The souls of

the damned were in humanform but like embers of re black yet transparent. Thisscene lasted an instant andwe must thank Our HeavenlyMother Who had prepared us

beforehand by promising totake us to Heaven with Her.Otherwise, I believe that we

should have died of fear andterror.

Then Our Lady spoke, andgave us the key to the wholeFatima Message:

You have seen hell wherethe souls of poor sinners go.To save them, God wishes

to establish in the world de-votion to My ImmaculateHeart.

This is the key:

God Wants to Establish inthe World Devotion to theImmaculate Heart of Mary

God has a great goal: to

save sinners from going tohell. To achieve this, God

wills to establish devotion tothe Immaculate Heart in thewhole world. To do that God

has a plan. Our Lady tells uswhat that plan is. It is two-fold. One is the Consecrationof Russia, and the other isCommunions of Reparationon the rst Saturdays of themonth.

We will talk mostly in

this conference about theConsecration of Russia, be-cause it seems to be themost dicult to achieve. Infact, Our Lady said in HerMessage of July 13: In theend, My Immaculate Heartwill triumph; the Holy Fatherwill consecrate Russia to Me,

Russia will be converted anda period of peace given tomankind.

But rst of all, you noticeShe says in the end, thatis, aer some diculty. It hasnow been 94 years this May13 since Our Lady rst ap-

peared. And theres a timelimit set to this. It seems to

be 100 years, from what OurLord said to us later on, as wewill see. This time limit is fastapproaching.

We Are Obligated toSpread the Message

We will talk about whynow, the consecration must be

done, and why Russia. But letus nish the quick overviewof the history of the appear-

ances of Our Lady at Fatimafor each one of us.

On August 13, there were15,000 people there. Theycame because of the 5,000people who came in July.These 5,000 came because ofthe 50 people who came in

June.That is, they told theirfriends and neighbors byword of mouth, despite theopposition from the govern-ment, despite the fear of theclergy in Portugal at the time,and despite the oppositionalso of the newspapers at that

time.

We see then that its impor-tant that we tell our friendsand neighbors.

The children told theirparents, and they told theirfriends, and the word spreadfrom there.

15,000 people came onAugust 13, 1917 but the chil-dren were kidnapped. Thechildren were put in jail, theywere threatened with death.Here are three children, whodont even know how to car-ry a gun or even to threatenanybody; three children whoare put in jail as enemies ofthe state, who are a danger to

the state, or more exactly theMasonic state that Portugalhad become.

The Children Refusedto Deny Our Lady

They were put in jail andthey were told to deny theywere seeing Our Lady. Theywould not do that. They weretold to deny that Our Ladygave them a secret. They

would not do that. They thensaid, Well then, tell us theSecret, and they would notdo that either.

They needed the authoriz-ation of Our Lady to tell that.So since the three childrenwould not cooperate, the

Mayor of Ourem (the townnearby to Fatima) told themthat he was going to boil themin oil until they were dead.

Yet the children still wouldnot change their story. Theywould not obey the wrongorders of the ruler.

When Our Lady told them

to do something, they did it.When She told them not to dosomething, they would notdo that.

Opposition to Fatima

And so we see that theopposition to Fatima startsduring the apparitions them-

selves, and the oppositionis erce. The government of

Portugal called out the armylater on to stop the peo-ple from coming to see the

Miracle of the Sun. But OurLady is more powerful thanarmies, She converted the sol-diers on the spot and let thepeople come to Fatima.

We see that on August 13the children were not there,although they had promised

to be there. So, Our Ladycame on August 19 and OurLady again reiterated Herpromise to work a great mir-acle on October 13, so that allmight believe. She also saidthat many souls go to hell

because they have no one topray for them and make sac-

rices for them.On August 13, Our Lady

appeared. As She always did,She stood on top of a lilecloud. The crowd saw thecloud come and stop over aholm oak tree and they sawthe tree bend, as it would

when someone was stand-ing on it, but the people, of

course, did not see Our Lady.Aer a minute or two of

Our Lady waiting for the chil-dren, She le. And the peo-ple could see the cloud riseo the tree and the brancheswhere the cloud had restednow sprang back to their reg

-

ular position. Obviously, Our

Lady le.On September 13, there

were 30,000 people who came.

The people on September13, as in July and August,saw great signs already. OnSeptember 13, there were noclouds, there was no eclipse,

but the sun dimmed itself sodarkly that the stars could beseen at noon.

The people again saw notonly the stars at noon asthey also saw them on July13, but also could see petalscoming down from Heaven.They looked like rose petals,

but when they went to touchthem or catch them, theywould disappear. And when

they fell on the ground, theyalso disappeared.

On October 13, 70,000 peo-ple came, despite the rain. Itrained so much that they werein mud up to their ankles.They waited and at noon, suntime, around 1:30 legal time,

the Blessed Virgin came.An Historical Miracle

The Sun Danced

When Lucia nished speak-ing with Our Lady, Luciapointed to the sun and as shedid so, the people looked upand the clouds parted and

without hurting their eyes. Itbegan to spin, it began to goround and round. It lookedlike a silver disc in the sky.

At a certain point, as it spunaround, it started giving ocolors rst red, then green,then blue so if a person had

a white shirt on, it would turnred and green and blue as thesun spun around. Aer fourminutes it stopped and thenit started again more rapidly,with more beautiful colors.Aer four more minutes, itstopped again and then spun

a third time, this time it be-

gan to not only spin but alsoplunge.

At rst, it started to zigzagin the sky and nally it start-ed to fall and fall and fall. Thesun became very large in thesky; it became very hot andeveryone thought the sun wasgoing to fall on top of them.

They thought it was theend of the world. The peoplefell on their knees in the mudto ask God for mercy, to ask

God for forgiveness for theirsins, to ask Our Ladys inter-cession. At a certain point,the sun stopped falling, thenwent back to its normal placein the sky. When people gotup from their knees they re-alized that their clothes were

dry; and where they had beenkneeling in the mud, their

clothes were also clean.This happened so that all

might believe. Even more im-

portant than this, of course,were the cures. People whocould not walk and couldnot see were cured instantlyat this time. And, above all,there were the conversions.

Conversion of SinnersThe Greatest Miracle

As St. Augustine tells us,its a greater miracle for Godto convert a sinner than forHim to create the world, be-cause when God created theworld, He created it out ofnothing and, of course, noth-ing did not resist God. Butwhen God converts a sinner,He converts them aer they,rst of all, resist His will.Thus, the conversion of a sin-ner is a greater miracle thanthe creation of the world.

We have these miracles tak-ing place on October 13, andcontinuing to take place in

Fatima to testify to the truththat this Message comes fromGod; that it concerns our time,that it concerns world peace,that it concerns the salvationof souls.

Gods Big Planfor Our Time

We want to talk about thisplan that God has revealed to

us at Fatima, the plan for es-tablishing in the world devo-tion to the Immaculate Heart.

Our Lady said on July 13that She would come backto ask for the Communionsof Reparation on the FirstSaturdays and She wouldalso come back to ask for theConsecration of Russia.

We will now talk aboutthe Consecration of Russia.In 1929, on the 13th of June,Lucia was in her chapel atmidnight; the chapel wascompletely dark except forthe sanctuary lamp. Luciawas prostrate on the ground,saying the prayer that theAngel of Fatima taught them:

Most Holy Trinity; Father,Son, and Holy Ghost, I adoreThee profoundly. I oer up toThee the most precious Bodyand Blood, Soul and Divinityof the same Son, Jesus Christ,present in all the tabernaclesof the world, in reparation for

all the blasphemies, outrages,and indierences by whichHe is oended. And I drawupon the innite merits of theMost Sacred Heart of Jesusand the Immaculate Heart ofMary, that Thou might con-vert poor sinners.

The Vision ofthe Holy Trinity

the whole chapel lit up; andwhen she looked up, she saw

before her a vision of the Most

Holy Trinity. In all the appa-ritions of the Blessed Virgin,and all the history of appa-ritions anywhere for 2000years, I am not aware of theMost Holy Trinity appearinganywhere else.

We have the theophany

of Our Lord when He was baptized in the Jordan Riverand also on Mt. Tabor on theTransguration. But here isthe rst manifestation of theTrinity, visibly and audiblypresent, since that time, thatIm aware of.

Sister Lucia saw God the

Father present as an olderman, between the Father andthe Son is the Holy Spiritsymbolized as a dove, andGod the Son is on the Cross.Underneath His right armon the Cross is Our Lady ofFatima standing on a cloud

on the altar. Blood comesfrom His wounds. From thewound in His side comes theEucharist. A chalice catchesthe Blood that drips fromHis wounds and from theHost. Under His le arm onthe Cross, you see the wordsGrace and Mercy, and thesewords are made with let-

ters made out of water, so tospeak, which ow over thealtar.

By This Means

It is in this most solemnappearance that Our Ladyspeaks, although everythingShe says is because Godwants Her to say it. She saysexplicitly:

The moment has come

in which God asks the HolyFather to make and to com-mand all the Catholic bish-ops of the world to make theConsecration of Russia toMy Immaculate Heart. Godpromises to save Russia bythis means.

Every word is important. Idlike to dwell for a moment onthe words by this means. St.Thomas, in his SacramentalTheology, tells us it is thewords of the priest that arethe means by which the sacra-ment takes place. Without thewords being pronounced, thesacrament doesnt take place.Similarly, without the Popeand the bishops consecratingRussia, we cannot have eitherthe saving of Russia or worldpeace. It is by this means.

Just as I could not write mynotes without a pen, with-

out an instrument, we can-not have world peace except

through the means, throughthe instrument of the Popeand the bishops making the

Consecration of Russia. Wemight think we know beer,we might think we have a bet-ter idea, but thats immaterial.This is what God has dictatedand decreed, and He will notchange His mind.

Sister Lucia and her confes-

sor for the next seven yearstried to get the Pope in thiscase, Pope Pius XI to con-secrate Russia. The Pope, ofcourse, was very polite, but

basically he didnt do it.

We Must Insist on the

Consecration of Russia

Lucia and her confessor,by 1935, were a lile discour-aged. Her confessor askedLucia in a leer, Shall Icontinue to insist? Luciaanswered, Yes. Should Ichange anything? No.

In 1936, the confessor writesagain and asks the same

question. This time Lucia an-swers in a very dierent way:Should you insist? I dontknow, but recently, I was talk-ing with Our Lord and askedHim why He would not bringabout world peace unless thePope did this consecration.

Jesus answered and said:Because I want My whole

Church to recognize that con-secration as a triumph of theImmaculate Heart, so that

later on My Church will placedevotion to the ImmaculateHeart beside devotion to MySacred Heart.

In other words, Our Lordis saying theres nothing to

be done except to insist uponthe consecration; it cant be

done any other way. I wantMy whole Church to recog-nize that consecration as atriumph of the ImmaculateHeart. And so you can pro-pose the consecration of theworld; you can propose this,you can propose that; butnothing will work except the

Consecration of Russia.This is again confrmed by

Our Lady speaking to Luciain May of 1952. The BishopsConference of Italy publicizedthis event in their book IlPellegrinaggio della Meravigliewhich was published in 1960,

but the event took place inMay of 1952.

Our Lady told Lucia, Tellthe Holy Father I am stillawaiting the Consecration ofRussia. Without that conse-cration, Russia cannot con-vert; without that consecra-tion, the world cannot havepeace.

How Much More SimpleCould it Be?

Its all or nothing. Either

we have the Consecration ofRussia or we have the anni-hilation of nations togetherwith the enslavement of theworld. Its as simple as that.I realize that Ive been study-ing and publishing and pro-moting this for 34 years.

Some people new to Fatimaor some who have not reallyread up on this subject say itcant be that simple, it cant bethat easy. But it is that simpleand it is that easy and nothingelse will work.

Why is it that God insistsupon this? Let us take an ex-ample from Sacred Scripture(4 Kings 5:1-15), whenNaaman, the Syrian Generalwho had leprosy, was toldthat he could be cured ifhe went to Israel to ask theprophet to be cured.

So, Naaman went to the

King of Israel and asked fora cure. The King, thinkingthat Naaman was looking fora cause to provoke war, torehis garments and said, Am IGod, that I can cure leprosy?

The prophet, hearing ofthis incident, sent a message

to the court of the king andsaid, Tell Naaman to come

to me and let Israel know thattheres a prophet in the land.And Naaman went to the

prophet but the prophet didnot meet him. Instead, he senta messenger to Naaman andsaid, If you want to be cured,go down to the river Jordanand bathe there seven timesand youll be cured.

Now Naaman became an-

gry. He said, We have bet-

ter rivers in Syria than thispuny lile Jordan, but hisadvisors, unlike the Popesadvisors, were much smarter.Naamans counselors said tohim, Had the prophet askedyou to do something di-cult, would you have done

it? He said, Of course.Then Naamans advisorswent on: Then why not justtry this and see what hap-pens? And so Naaman didwhat his counselors told him,as Sacred Scripture tells usin the Fourth Book of Kings,

Chapter Five. Aer the sev-enth time bathing in the river,

when he came out, his lepro-sy was gone and, as Scripturesays, his skin was as smoothas that of a baby.

Only a 5-Minute Prayerto Avoid War and

Annihilation!God asks simple things to

show, rst of all, it is not byour eorts, it is not by ourmerits, its only by the workof God that this can takeplace. And just as the rela-tionship between bathing ina river and being cured of

leprosy is next to nothing, sois the relationship between asimple prayer of ve minutes

by the Pope and 5,000 bishopscausing worldwide peace.Compare this to the billions if not trillions of dollars thatare spent on war.

Just think of all the eort

that people put into war.Afghanistan, for example,

costs 113 BILLION dollars ayear. That represents the an-nual economy of most coun-tries and the work eort ofmillions of people, just tohave an army of 100,000 menin another country. Thats

over 300 million dollars a day,or over one million dollars ev-ery 15 seconds. All of this will

be stopped, as Scripture tellsus that a time will come whenall men will turn their swordsinto ploughshares. Isaias tellsus that instruments of warwill be turned into instru-

ments of peace.That time will come only

aer the Pope and the bish-ops obey the command toconsecrate Russia to the

Immaculate Heart of Mary.With all the war, death, de-

struction and killing goingon right now it does not looklike it will ever happen. Andyet, were told in Scripturethat this will take place, thatour instruments of war will

be turned into instruments ofpeace, they will feed the peo-ple instead of killing them.

The people and the highpriests of our time are similarto the people at the time of

Jesus Christ. They did not rec-ognize the moment of historythey were in, even though

Daniel, the prophet, had toldthem that Christ would comein their time.

So we have many proph-ets telling us this is a time ofworld change. I believe thatthis is a time predicted inSacred Scripture and most of

us do not recognize it.We are told by Isaias,

they shall turn their swordsinto ploughshares and theirspears into sickles: nationsshall not li up sword againstnation, neither shall they beexercised any more to war.(Isaias 2:4)

Every nation on earth has aschool of warfare. This warfare

is taught from generationto generation. When OurLadys promise of peace is

fullled in the not distantfuture, it will also fulll thepromise of peace that wasalso made to mankind in theOld Testament. Then, also, allthe nations will learn the artof war no more, because Godalso promised this through

the Old Testament prophets(Isaias 2:4; Micheas 4:3).

14,400 Wars

in 6,000 Years

In 6,000 years of recordedhistory, we have had morethan 14,400 wars. We are onthe edge of a complete change

in the course of history, onceOur Ladys requests are heardand obeyed.

At this time, we must, eachof us, refuse to do nothing in theface of this tremendous inter-vention of God and Our Ladyin the Fatima events.

And, there are terrible con-

sequences for us not obeying.The Message of Fatima touch-es each one of us, and our col-lective refusal to do what ittakes to get the Consecrationof Russia done has a price.

Our Lady said: If My re-quests are granted, Russia

will be converted and therewill be peace. If My requests

are not granted, Russia willspread her errors through-out the world raising up wars

and persecutions against theChurch, the good will be mar-tyred, the Holy Father willhave much to suer, variousnations will be annihilated.

Thats not all of the terriblethings that will happen ifwe, the Pope, the bishops, the

priests and the lay people donot obey in time but it cer-tainly should be enough forus to do all we can to obeyand encourage all others,especially the Pope and the

bishops, to obey very soon.

Prayer and PenanceCan Change History

People like CardinalBertone somehow or otherthink that I dont believethat prayer and penance canchange the course of his-tory. If I didnt believe that, Iwouldnt have spent 34 yearsof my life promoting the

Message of Fatima.But its not enough to just

do prayer and penance aswe choose to do it, its theprayer and penance thatGod dictates we must dothat will bring about thischange in the course of his-

tory. This prayer is, of course,the Rosary, and in the lastyear we have, together with

others, prayed more than 22million Rosaries for the Popeto do the Consecration of

Russia. We had a campaign ofRosaries years ago of another10 million Rosaries. And Imvery glad to see that BishopFellay has called for anotherCrusade of another 12 millionRosaries within the next year between Easter of 2011 and

Pentecost of 2012.We must pray the Rosary,but also we must do penance.The rst penance, as OurLord explained to Lucia in the1940s, is to do our daily duty.Some people, such as manyfrom the Blue Army, thinkthat penance just involves

taking care of what we do dayto day in our own personallives. That is true to a point

but its more than that. Wealso have a duty to promotethe FULL Fatima Message,

just as at Fatima when those50 people in June told their

friends and neighbors, those5,000 people in July told theirfriends and neighbors, and soforth, so that by their act ofspreading the word, 70,000people came in October.

We Have to Spreadthe Word Because

Fatima is OpposedIts opposed by the

Secretary of State, not only

by Cardinal Bertone, butCardinal Sodano before him,and Cardinal Casaroli before

him, and so forth.The Vatican Secretary of

State has made an agreement,a wrong agreement, to notcriticize the errors of Russia.They made that deal in 1962.Yet Our Lady of Fatima camein 1917 to warn us against

the errors of Russia.The re-

sult of that immoral Vatican-Moscow Agreement is that to-day most priests dont knowthat Communism and othererrors of Russia, now spreadall around the world needsto be opposed and opposedopenly.

The error of legalized abor-tion was rst openly pro-moted successfully in Russia.Today, that error is aroundthe world. Karl Marx calledfor a graduated income tax,today most every country inthe world has a graduated in-

come tax. Most people dontrecognize that as an error ofMarx and of Communism.So, if you think what thenewspapers tell you to think,that Communism is dead,dont believe it. The errors,

by dierent titles, by dierentnames, are still there.

But this is nothing com-pared to whats about to hap-

pen to us. The preparationsfor war are very real. If youlook for them, you can see

them. But if you look for theheadlines to tell you theyrethere, dont expect to ndthem. The newspapers dontwant to tell you these things,

but they are in the news, ifyou look closely. Both theUnited States and Russia are

preparing for a major war, ac-

tually, right now. And someof the skirmishes are goingon right now. Just to give yousome facts and gures, 70,000ofcers have recently beenrecruited by Russia. 70,000!How many soldiers willthese ocers be in charge of?

Theyre also buying 600 newghter planes and 100 newships.

Thats just the Russian side.Meanwhile, the Americanside is preparing for war aswell. You have the doctrineof surrounding Russia in the

proposal for the Project forthe New American Century,PNAC in its shortest form,in which you see the UnitedStates, although under theguise of ghting terrorism orthis or that, is puing up theirmilitary bases around Russia.

The Russians were sur-prised by the Germans inWorld War II. Even though

they had planned to aackGermany, Germany did itrst to them in the Second

World War. But the Russianswill not be taken by surprisethis time. They are not asleep,

but the people, the rest of us,are asleep.

Gods Time Limit

for Us Is Near

You may or may not agree

with this geopolitical analysisof events taking place rightnow. But, even if you dontagree, you must recognizethat our time of decision isvery short.

Lets just look at the time-table that God has given us.

In 1931, Lucia was in Rianjo,a small city in northern Spain,where she went to rest. It wasAugust. She went to pray inthe Church of Our Lady ofGuadalupe for the conversionof Russia, Spain, Portugal andEurope. Our Lord spoke toher and said: You please Me

very much by praying for theconversion of Russia, Spain,Portugal and Europe. Ask italso of My Mother. He thendictated to her two prayers.

He told Lucia to pray thisprayer oen:

Sweet Heart of Mary,

be the salvation of Russia,Spain, Portugal, Europe and

the whole world.

At other times He said topray as follows:

By Thy pure and Immac-ulate Conception, O Mary,obtain for me the conver-sion of Russia, Spain, Portu-gal, Europe and the wholeworld.

Then Our Lord spokeabout the Pope and the bish-

ops and quite possibly aboutthe priests. He said:

Make it known to Myministers, given they followthe example of the King ofFrance in delaying the ex-ecution of My command (toconsecrate Russia), like him

(like the King of France) theywill follow him into misfor-tune.

What is this reference tothe King of France? The com-mand, of course, is the com-mand to consecrate Russia.

The King of France, on the

17th of June 1689, was givena command by the SacredHeart of Jesus to have Franceconsecrated to the SacredHeart; to have the RoyalCourt of France participatein a special ceremony conse-crating France to the SacredHeart, and to put the emblem

of the Sacred Heart on theag of France. The King did

not obey. That was the greatLouis XIV, known as the SunKing; he had all the pomp

and so forth, but his monar-

chy zzled into nothing verymuch by the end of his reign.

Nor did his successor, LouisXV, obey that command. Onehundred years later to theday, on June 17, 1789, theThird Estate declared itself

the National Assembly andexcluded the King from mak-ing or having anything to dowith legislation. The King,Louis XVI, was stripped of hispower 100 years later to theday, and four years later hishead was cut o in the guil-lotine.

Our Lord is saying to makeit known to His ministers the Pope, the Cardinals andthe bishops that they willfollow the King of France (theone who had his head cut o)into disgrace and chastise-ment. The King of France was

executed as a criminal notthat he was a criminal, but hewas executed as if he were acriminal.

That is what we see in thevision that the Vatican re-leased to us in June 2000. Wesee the Pope being executed,not just being killed, but be-ing executed by a band of sol

-

diers, by a ring squad. This

is what awaits the Pope andthe bishops; but not just them,priests as well, and religious

and lay people.Were All in This Together

Were all in this togeth-er, but its all because theConsecration of Russia hasnot been done in time.

St. Alphonsus tells usthat with God, everything is

measured. He bases himselfon a passage in the Book ofWisdom. All those things aremeasured as if by an eyedrop-per. We see that in the case ofthe King of France, 100 yearsto the day.

And its Our Lord, Himself,

Who draws our aention tothat fact, when He says toLucia, Make it known toMy ministers ... like the Kingof France. He didnt say itprecisely, but it seems Hessaying to us, like the King ofFrance had 100 years, so thePope has 100 years.

We are now at the 94th year.May 13, 2011 is the 94th anni-versary of Our Ladys rst ap-pearance at Fatima. There isshort time le.

It would have been easier todo the Consecration of Russiaearlier but, as time goes on, it

becomes more and more dif-cult to do it.

Some people think its toodicult to do. No! It is stillpossible to do it. How it can

be done today is shown in thebook, Russian Sunrise. But, nodoubt, theres some impedi-ment.

The Pope Does NOTNeed Permission

to Consecrate Russia

Last year, one of our speak-

ers, Catherine Pearson, toldus that there are six possiblereasons why the Pope doesntdo the Consecration ofRussia. First of all, we shouldnot think the Pope doesntknow about it, because hedoes. Not only does he know

about it, but he wants to doit as well. I have this on theword of a Vatican diplomat,an Archbishop, who, himself,went to Russia on a commis-sion from Pope Benedict. ThisArchbishop told me that thePope sent a message to thePatriarch of Moscow, asking

permission to do the conse-cration, and would he mind.Apparently, the Patriarchhas never had it properly ex-plained to him. Its not an in-sult to the Russians, its not acurse, but rather, its a bless-ing. However, the Russian

Orthodox Patriarch took thissomewhat as an insult and

said he would mind.Now the Pope doesnt need

to ask the permission of the

Patriarch before he does thisConsecration. But since thePope asked this question, itneeded someone to explain tothe Patriarch that its not an in-sult to the Russian people, butin fact, its a particular grace.Its a grace I would wish for

my country. Its a grace thatanybody who loves their owncountry would want. But itsGods choice, its Our Ladyschoice.

After David WasConsecrated

He Was Victorious

We should look at the his-

tory of David in the OldTestament. David was oneof eight brothers, and theprophet came to Davids fa-ther and said, I must con-secrate one of your sons asKing. And so Davids father,

Jesse, brought his rst seven

sons and the prophet met therst one, and he then said,No, not him. Second one,No. Third, fourth, h, allof them, No.

The prophet then said,Dont you have any moresons? Jesse said, Yes, I have

one more, hes back home tak-ing care of the sheep. So he

said, Bring him to me. Theprophet recognized David asthe one to be consecrated. So

David was consecrated andaer that he went back to tak-ing care of the sheep.

Nothing seemed to havechanged. But aer David had

been consecrated by Godsanointed prophet, some dayslater the sheep were aacked

by a bear and David respond-

ed to the aack of the bear bykilling him barehanded withhis knife. On another occa-sion, Davids lamb was at-tacked by a lion and Davidalso killed the lion bare-handed.

Some lile time later, the

giant, Goliath, stood on themountainside for 40 days,challenging the ghting menof Israel to ght him. If one ofKing Sauls men could ghtagainst Goliath and kill him,then the Philistines would

be their slaves; but if Goliath

were to kill the designatedwarrior, then they would bethe slaves of the Philistines.

For 40 days, the giant said,Do you not have the liv-ing God on your side? Then,why are you afraid? Goliath

blasphemed against God anddared the men of Israel to de-fend Gods honor. And notone of them came forward, no

one but David.Aer some days, aer leav-

ing time for the other ght-

ing men, for the big and thepowerful to take up the chal-lenge, none would do it. Andso David came forward andsaid, I will do this. Davidwas only 18 years old. He wasnot very strong, he was notvery big, and King Saul said:

You cant do this, youre notstrong. You dont have ex-perience as a ghting manand hes too big for you, toostrong. David said: Yourservant has killed a bear byhimself and killed a lion. Iwill be able to kill this man,Goliath, as well.

And so it was that Godchose David and he conse-crated him, and once he wasconsecrated, he had this spe-cial protection, he had thisspecial power that he didnthave before. That is why hecould kill the lion and kill the

bear by himself. That is whyhe also was victorious againstGoliath and was able to killhim in personal combat.

The Popes

Have Been Threatened

There is a great oppositionto the Mother of God and to

God Himself in the world.This opposition is so power-

ful that even Popes dare notspeak against it. We have theword of Pope Pius XI saying

this. You can nd it in his en-cyclical wrien in 1930.

Today, Popes wont evensay theyre afraid to speak,they just dont speak about it.In 1930, Pope Pius XI took onMussolini publicly by pub-lishing an encyclical, Non ab-

biamo bisogno, and he went onto publish yet another encyc-lical against Hitler. He didntmind taking on what theworld considers the powerfulof the world, but those thatwere even more powerfulpeople than them, he said hehardly dared to speak against

them.

And today, its those samevery powerful people youmay know their names, butyou dont know their power its these same people andtheir threats held over thehead of the Pope to not do the

consecration.As Catherine Pearson

pointed out, there are only sixpossible reasons for the Popenot doing the Consecration ofRussia, but the rst ve sheeectually eliminates. I urgeyou to read her talk in TheFatima Crusader Issue 96.

But the sixth reason shegives is that the Pope has been

seriously threatened. Its not apersonal threat, its not black-mail, its much worse than

that. Its the kind of threat that Josyp Terelya spoke about. Josyp Terelya was a prisonerof conscience from 1963 to1987 in the Soviet Gulag.

The order had come downto have him killed and so thecolonel from the KGB who

knew of this order didntmind telling Josyp some-thing that was a secret. Now,Terelya lived to tell the story.

Chernobyl No Accident

The great accident ofChernobyl took place in 1986.In 1987, before his release,

this KGB colonel told him:Chernobyl was not an

accident, it was set o de-liberately. In fact, we haveall our reactors in the popu-lated areas in order to keepthe people under control. Ifthey dont obey, we alwayshave these reactors to set o

anytime we need to.

This is a KGB colonel tellingthis to Terelya. Terelya writesabout it in his book Witnessand he certainly spoke aboutit at one of our conferences.Its this kind of threat that washeld over John Paul II, the fear

that Poland would be blownup by these nuclear reactors.

I dont know the exact natureof the threat hanging over thehead of Pope Benedict XVI,

but the kind, the degree of thethreat thats held over him islike the threat Josyp Terelyaspoke about.

The Power of Our Lady

Yet, we need not concernourselves with this threat, asCoralie Graham pointed out

in our Conference opening.Our Lady is much more pow-erful than all these enemies ofGod.

Padre Pio, who was verydevoted to Our Lady and theRosary, promised the town ofSan Giovanni Rotondo that

during the Second World Warthere would be no militaryacts of violence, there would

be no bombing of their town.Now, the Americans had

taken over the air base out-side the city of Foggia (about25 miles away from PadrePios city) which they used to

y missions over Yugoslavia.One day, returning from 16

hours of ying, an Americanpilot had one bomb le on

board and he had very lilefuel le, just enough to get

back to base. He had strictorders, under threat of court-

martial if not followed, thathe had to get rid of all his

bombs before he landed. Soas far as he was concerned,he had no choice but to get

rid of the last bomb. He wasin clouds, he didnt knowwhat was beneath him, but heknew he had to follow ordersand release the bomb beforelanding.

St. Padre Pio Prevents HisCity from Being Bombed

The pilot began the pro-

cedure to drop the bomb but then he saw a man inthe clouds coming towardshim. The man spoke say-ing: Dont do it! The pi-lot hesitated and was veryimpressed. Nevertheless,

orders were orders and hedidnt want to endanger thelanding eld, nor be court-martialed. Nor did he knowthere was a town under him.He thought it was a eld orthe water. So he pulled thelever to drop the bomb, butit jammed. It didnt work. So

he had no choice but to landwith the bomb on board. TheBase Commander was gladto see he got back safely, but

became angry when he sawthat the pilot had a bomb leon board. He then threatenedhim with court-martial for

breaking orders and endan-gering the base.

The pilot, in his own de-fense, said: I saw this manin the clouds telling me not to

do it. The Base Commanderresponded: Youve had toomany hours of ying, youneed a rest, and decided notto court-martial him.

When the pilot got backto the barracks, he went tosee his friend, Alphonse

DArtega (a man I know),who lived in Rome here, inParioli, for many years. Atthat time, he was working onthe base but he wasnt a ier.His pilot friend told him whathappened, and they weretalking about this in the messhall. A young Italian boy,

about 10 years old, was help-

ing to serve the tables there.He understood English andhe said, Oh, that sounds likePadre Pio. The pilot and hisfriend said: Whos he? The

boy responded: Oh, he justlives up the hill there about 40

kilometers away and he saysMass every morning at 5:00oclock. So DArtega askedhis friend the pilot, Do youwant to go up and see him?He said, Sure. So he said,Ill get a jeep.

So the next morningthey went up there and, asDArtega described this to me,the old church of Padre Pios

was very small. They were thelast two to get in and they hadtheir backs to the wall. The pi-

lot was a Protestant, hed nev-

er been in a Catholic church before. DArtega was look-ing around and the pilot waslooking around and dierentpeople would come out of thesacristy, preparing the altar.There was nothing notewor-

thy. Then, as DArtega wasdistracted looking at some-thing, waiting for the Mass tostart, he gets a poke in the ribsfrom his pilot friend. He said:There he is, theres the man Isaw in the clouds. He posi-tively identied, of course, St.Padre Pio.

So Padre Pio promised thepeople of San Giovanni thatthey would never be aackedduring the war, and he kepthis promise, even to bilocat-ing in the clouds and stop-ping pilots from dropping

bombs on their city. Certainly,

Our Ladys power is greaterthan that of Padre Pios.

Trust in Our Lady

Our Lady can stop what-ever threats are held overthe head of the Pope; She canstop any danger from impact-ing the Church or the people

by the power of God. Whatwe need to do, ourselves, is

to pray more for the HolyFather. Our Lord, Himself,spoke in Rianjo of whatwould happen to the Pope,that he would follow the Kinginto misfortune if he contin-ued to refuse to obey the com-mand to consecrate Russia in

the manner specied. I dontknow whether Lucia asked

Jesus what are we to do in thelight of the Popes refusal. Butthe last remark Our Lord saidto her was, It is never toolate to have recourse to Jesusand Mary. It is never too late

for us to pray, it is never toolate to ask Our Lady and OurLord to intervene.

Lucia has told us that thereis no problem in the world,either national or internation-al, either physical or moral,that cannot be solved by theRosary. There is no problem,even the problem of the Popeand the bishops not doing

the consecration, even thatproblem can be resolved.We just have to pray, and asPadre Pio says, get others topray the Rosary. Let us praythe Rosary for the intentionthat the Holy Father doesthe consecration. If a small

group of people (theres 500priests or thereabouts in theSociety of St. Pius X) can col-

lect 12 million Rosaries in oneyear, surely the bishops andthe priests here can do that

and more by geing theirdioceses and their friends topromote the Rosary, and praythe Rosary for this intention.So let us pray many Rosariesfor the Holy Father. It is nevertoo late to have recourse to

Jesus and Mary.

WHY Russia?People might wonder

why Russia, why consecrateRussia? Of course, its suf-cient to say that God choseit and thats enough. Russiais a very important nation;it straddles both Europe and

Asia. Russia is also the mostpowerful nation in the world.Despite the propaganda thatthe United States is, Russia ismuch more powerful.

In 1984, we published thefacts that Russia was sixtimes more powerful than theUnited States in a number of

areas of nuclear warheads.God will use this power ofRussia to oppose the mysteryof iniquity that is threateningthe Pope and threatening theChurch. They will be giventhe opportunity to convert orthey will be forced to conform

to the will of God. Russia hassuered these many years

from the same power of themystery of iniquity. (See FatherKramers book by that title

and the extract of that bookin this issue of The FatimaCrusader on page 29.) Theyunderstand it more intimate-ly than most of us, yet theycannot convert without thisAct of Consecration. As Luciasaid: Many times the Blessed

Virgin told myself, Jacintaand Francisco, that Russia isthe instrument of chastise-ment chosen by Heaven topunish the whole world un-less we obtain the conversionof that poor nation.

So Russia has a pivotalrole, either that of justice or

of mercy. If we bring aboutthe Consecration of Russia,Russia will be the instrumentof mercy and will usher inan era of peace for all man-kind. If we dont have theConsecration of Russia intime, Russia will be the in-

strument of chastisement forthe whole world, for its sins.

Do we deserve chastise-ment at this time? Well, its es-timated that over one billion

babies have been killed inabortion in the last 20 years.ONE BILLION! Thats one-seventh of the worlds popu-lation. We are told in SacredScripture that there are four

sins that cry to Heaven forvengeance. One of them is thekilling of innocent persons.

The innocent blood of theseONE BILLION babies cries toHeaven for vengeance.

The World Has Gone in aDifferent Direction Than theOne Indicated by Our Lady

This is a tremendous sin but its not the only sin. As

Pope John Paul II said whenhe went to Fatima, the worldhas gone in the opposite di-rection than the one indicated

by Our Lady in 1917. He saidthat sin has institutionalizeditself in our world. We getused to this because we, of

course, live here, and aer awhile we cannot always be onthe edge and always angryor uptight about something.So, aer a while we say, Ohwell, what else is new? Andwe forget how serious this is.

The world is building upfor itself a tremendous debt

not only a nancial debt, butabove all, a moral debt andthere will be a day it has to bepaid.

We can talk about thepresent-day apostasy. Pope

John Paul II spoke, more thanonce, about the silent apos-

tasy in Europe; but its notjust in Europe, its all over the

world. We see this in the warswe have. Although it doesntseem to directly aect us in

the West so much, it has beenestimated that over one mil-lion people have been killedin Afghanistan and Iraq,and thats just recently. Howmany of these were killed in-nocently that is, how manyinnocent people were killed?

So why will the Con-secration of Russia make adierence? Gods mercy isgreater than any evil we cando. And God and His mercywants to give this generationa great act of mercy. But Heknows He cant give it to us,

because He knows we might

think that we deserve it. Wedont deserve it. St. Augustinesays God, in His great mercyand great love, wants to giveus great gis, but He cantgive them to us because wewill become proud. Wellthink that its due to our own

eorts, our own merits, ourown goodness, and this is nottrue.

God Has a Dilemma

How can He give us thesegreat gis of world peace andnot give us a swelled head,thinking that we deserve it?

So God, St. Augustine tellsus, has found a way. And that

way is through the merits andintercession of the saints.

God gives His special fa-

vors only through the inter-

cession and the merits of thesaints. And so if we wouldturn to the saints and ask fortheir intercession for thingsthat we cannot get by ourown prayers and our ownmerits, God will give these

special graces, these specialgis, because of the meritsand prayers of the saints whoare Gods special friends.

St. Alphonsus tells us thatits a great thing for one manor one woman to have mer-ited enough to save his ownsoul. But he says its an even

greater thing for a person tohave not only merit enough tosave his own soul, but to savethe souls of others aroundhim. And that, he says, thecanonized saints have done.

God Wants Us All to DrawUpon the Prayers and

Merits of Our LadySt. Alphonsus goes on to

say that it is the greatest thingof all for a human person to

be so holy as to have meritedenough to save all the souls ofall men and women of all time.And that only the Blessed

Virgin Mary has done. AndGod wants us to recognize

and to know this. God wantsus to turn to the ImmaculateHeart for Her merits and Her

intercession to save our souls.So God wants to establishin the world devotion to theImmaculate Heart of Mary.That is why He has reservedthe grace of world peace, thegrace of the conversion ofRussia and the conversion of

the world to the ImmaculateHeart of Mary.That is why He asks for this

specic act of consecration,this specic act of dedicating,of seing aside for the serviceof the Blessed Virgin, the peo-ple and the country of Russia.When this is done, Our Lady

will be able to take care ofand take control of Her pos-session, rst by convertingRussia to God and His One,Holy, Catholic and ApostolicChurch, and then use it toevangelize the world.

A Chosen Vessel

St. Paul was the instru-

ment of persecution againstthe rst Christians but hewas a chosen vessel. First,God knocked him o his highhorse. Then He convertedhim and aerwards God hadhim consecrated as bishop,

and aer that he became thegreatest of all the apostles. He

says in Scriptures, himself,that he converted more soulsand he did more than the oth-

er apostles all together.Russia is like St. Paul. It is

a chosen vessel to evangelizeand convert the world, andthat will happen once its con-secrated to the ImmaculateHeart of Mary. We do notknow when it will happen,

but we do know it will hap-

pen. The question before usis: Will we do what we canand what we must to bringabout the Consecration ofRussia before the annihilationof nations, before the install-ment of the enemies of Godover all nations ruling us as

if we were their slaves, rul-

ing us in a way that would bemost painful for us?

In the message of Akita,were told that the livingwill envy the dead. Aerthis chastisement of annihi-lation of nations, the living

will envy the dead. Why isthat? Because living condi-tions will be worse than youcan possibly imagine underthe reign of people workingfor the devil, who have pre-pared for us this war and theenslavement of all the survi-vors in their anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-human world

-

wide prison camp. And it will

happen that way, unless webring about the Consecrationof Russia in time.

The Message of FatimaInvolves ALL of Us

Let us then realize that in-volves all of us. Just as thosesimple people telling theirfriends and neighbors aboutthe appearances of Our Ladyof Fatima, each of us, in what-

ever walk of life, have this roleto play to tell our friendsand neighbors and deliver themessage ourselves.

You Have the Right!

By all means, you have theright, as its dened by theSecond Council of Lyons and

the First Vatican Council. Youhave the right to petition thePope. There are people whotell you not to petition thePope. Those who say do notpetition the Pope are deadwrong. Why are they wrong?The Pope, by taking on the job

of being the Pope, takes onthe job of receiving petitionsfrom the Faithful who seekredress in things pertainingto ecclesiastical maers.

It is dened, not once, buttwice, in the Church. It is asolemn denition that each ofus, as a baptized Catholic, has

a right to have recourse to thePope in this maer. You have

a right to ask the Pope to exer-cise his authority.

The Pope can be asked to

teach and to rule ocially,with his full papal author-ity, that the Fatima Messageis a true propehetic messagefrom God and that part of theFatima Message command-ing the Pope and the bishopsto consecrate Russia to the

Immaculate Heart of Mary is asolemn command of God andis binding on the Pope underpain of mortal sin to obey. Orthe Pope could be asked tomake a binding resolution tothe contrary if he is prepaedto be stopped by God for at-tempting to rule against the

Fatima Message.There are those who say

that the Pope cannot becommanded by the Messageof Fatima. They are mistaken.I will deal with this in my nexttalk at this conference, aboutwhy the Pope must obey. He

has a solemn obligation, he isbound solemnly before God.Its a serious maer to do theConsecration. This is not to

judge the Pope, this is simplyto state what the objectivemoral order is.

We Must Pray

for the Holy FatherThat is why we must pray

for the Holy Father. He has aheavy responsibility, as do the

bishops, and let us pray for

them as well. But at the sametime, let us have clear ideasand clear understanding. AsSt. Thomas tells us, the rstfruit of error is injustice. If wepromote lies about Fatima inorder to appear to be loyal or

because we have some false

notion of loyalty to the Pope,were not helping him, we arenot helping the Church, werenot helping the bishops. Weare only sending them to theirdeath sentences.

Only ONE Way!

We must tell the truth

clearly and simply, and ex-

plain it so that people knowthat there is one way, andonly one way out of the messthe Church is in, the messthe world is in. There is onlyone way to stop the sense-less killing of millions ofpeople in war, in abortion, in

food riots, in nancial terror-ism (as Maurizio DOrlandowill speak about later to-day at this ConsecrationNow! Conference), etc. andthat one and only way is theConsecration of Russia to theImmaculate Heart of Mary.
