FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF NEWS LETTER OF MEMON JAMAAT




Dear Brothers and Sisters Assalamo Alaikum WRWB

It was month of June 2009, when Joint Secretary of Memon Jamaat, Mr. Nasir Ibrahim suggested in the Managing Committee Meeting

to bring out News Letter of Memon Jamat in order to update our community residing Saudi Arabia with the activities of Memon Jamat

through News Letter every month regularly. Finally the suggestion was approved and the News Letter committee consists of 3 members

started bringing out monthly News Letter regularly. Al Hamdo Lillah the Newsletter has now completed one year of its issuance. On this

occasion Memon Jamaat expresses heartiest congratulation to the Newsletter Committee for their untiring efforts for keeping the

community informed of Jamaat’s activities and convey its gratitude and appreciation to all readers of Newsletter, particularly to those

who pass on to us their valuable suggestion, views and feedback after receiving & reading Newsletter every month regularly.

We have tried to our best to produce this Anniversary Number more interesting and informative, however, we apologize in advance for

any unintentional omissions or errors in it. We once again request all our brothers and sisters to keep sending us your suggestions and

ideas and feedbacks that undoubtedly help and guide us to improve our monthly bulletin.

Role of the Jamaat in all places

As we all are aware that Memons generally tie to their respective locally societies called "Jamat", literally means congregation, which

are generally established for the BETTERMENT AND SOCIAL WELFARE of its members which may include issuance of marriage

license, matrimonial dispute resolution, adaptation and enforcement of the rules and guidelines against certain undesirable customs,

establish healthcare and education centre, provide various facilities for the community need and also financial support and housing for

the poor and needy members and sometime non-members.

The following are some common well organized societies or welfare associations called Jamaat of the Memons community which

generally refer to their ancestral village or town.

1) CAREER COUNSELING

"CAREER GUIDANCE SEMINAR" IN NEAR FUTURE FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ALONG WITH THEIR PARENTS. EXPERTS WILL GUIDE OUR CHILDREN FOR THEIR FUTURE CAREER, WE REQUEST PARENTS OF THOSE STUDENTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED OR COMPLETING IN THIS YEAR THEIR HIGH SCHOOL TO SEND US REQUEST OF CAREER COUNSELLING FOR THEIR CHILDRE UNTIL JUNE 15, 2010 JUST WITH A SIMPLE EMAIL STATING NAME OF CHILD, CLASS/GRADE COMPLETED OR COMPLETING IN THIS YEAR, PARENTS NAME AND CONTACT. BASED ON NUMBER OF REQUESTS FOR CAREER COUNSELLING AN EXCLUSIVE PROGRAM WILL BE ARRANGED, INSHA ALLAH.

2) IFTAR PARTY

AN EVENT OF IFTAR PARTY HAS BEEN APPROVED AND IT WILL TAKE PLACE FOR MALE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY IN SECOND WEEK OF RAMADAN CORRESPONDING TO 3RD WEEK OF AUGUST. A SEPARATE ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE IN DUE COURSE OF TIME.

3) EID MILLAN

AN EVENT OF EID MILLAN HAS BEEN APPROVED AND IT WILL TAKE PLACE FOR THE FAMILIES OF MEMON COMMUNITY RESIDING IN SAUDI ARABIA SOME IN THE MONTH OF SHAWAL/SEPTEMBER 2010. A SEPARATE ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE IN DUE COURSE OF TIME.

4) PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

A PRIZE & CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM IS TO TAKE PLACE IN NEAR FUTURE FOR THE MERITORIOUS STUDENTS OF THE YEAR 2009 / 2010.

5) SOCIAL EVENING WITH DR. M.U.CHAPRA

AFTER SUCCESSFUL EVENT OF ENLIGHTENING SPEECH OF DR. MOHAMMED UMER CHAPRA TOOK PLACE LAST MONTH AND UPON REQUEST OF THE AUDIENCE, THE SIMILAR PROGRAME WILL BE ARRANGED ON THE TOPIC IF ISLAMIC BANKING & ECONOMICS (INTEREST FREE SOCIETY) PROBABLY IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2010.

1. A COMPUTER TRAINING INSTITUTE HAS BEEN RECOMMENDED TO BE ESTABLISHED WHICH WILL PROVIDE MEMON STUDENT WITH FREE OF COST WHILE NON

MEMON WILL BE BENEFITED FROM THE INSTITUTE AT A VERY NOMINAL FEE. WE ARE IN SEARCH OF 2 ROOMS APARTMENT AT REASONABLE RENT OR OFFICE

TYPE SHOP WHERE WE COULD PLACE AT LEAST 10 COMPUTERS EASILY. A SEPARATE FUND WILL BE RAISED FOR THIS PROJECT OF JAMAT SOON.

2. THIS IS DECIDED TO INVITE APPLICATIONS FROM POOR FAMILIES WHO CAN NOT AFFORD SCHOOL FEE OF THEIR CHILDREN OR THEIR CHILDREN HAVE

DISCONTINUED DUE TO INABILITY TO PAY THE SCHOOL FEE. THIS AID SHALL BE PROVIDED TO NEEDY FROM ZAKAT FUNDS AFTER NECESSARY

FORMALITIES. NEEDY FAMILY MAY CONTACT JAMAT IF THEY ARE REALLY FACING FINANCIAL HARD SHIP TO AFFORD SCHOOL FEES OF THEIR CHILDREN.

3. WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS, CONTRIBUTION, OR COMMITMENT TO PAY IN FUTURE OR FOR SPECIFIC PROJECT. BROTHERS MAY DONATE THEIR FUNDS TO

MEMON JAMAT SPECIFYING THE USAGE OF THEIR FUND IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

(I) TO USE IN WELFARE PROJECTS OF MEMON JAMAT (II) TO USE IN EVENTS OF MEMON JAMAT (III) TO USE IT IN ZAKAT AND/OR CHARITABLE PURPOSES

News & Views: (latest) All Pakistan Memon Federation Elections took place on 30th May 2010 wherein a renowned dignitary Mr. Ahmed Chenaei and his entire penal won the election. وہ جنهيں وطن کو لوٹنا ہے

بيروِن ملک مقيم پاکستانيوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد خليجی ممالک ميں پرکشش تنخواہوں اور اجرتوں پر کام افراد صرف الکه 9الکه ہے جن ميں سے 15سے 14کرتی ہے۔ ایک اندازے کے مطابق ان کی تعداد

سعودی عرب ميں مقيم ہيں ۔ دنيا کے دوسرے خطوں مثًال امریکہ، کينيڈا ، مشرِق بعيد، برطانيہ اور دیگر یورپی ممالک ميں رہنے والے پاکستانيوں کے برعکس ان لوگوں کا خصوصی امتياز یہ ہے کہ سالہا سال

کستان ہی سے وابستہ رہتا ہے اور ملک سے باہر رہنے کے باوجود ان کا اور ان کے بچوں کا مستقبل پااپنی دهرتی سے ان کا رشتہ نہيں ٹوٹتا ۔ اس کا سبب خليجی ممالک کا وہ قانون ہے جس کے تحت

کسی غير ملکی کے ليے عملی طور پر وہاں کی شہریت حاصل کرنا ممکن نہيں۔ چنانچہ اپنی زندگی کا یہی ہے کہ آخرکار انہيں اپنے وطن کو لوٹنا ہے۔بيشتر حصہ وہاں گزاردینے والے غير ملکيوں کا مقدر بهی

خليج ميں کام کرنے والے ان پاکستانيوں کو ايک دوسری صورِت حال سے بهی واسطہ پيش آتا ہے۔ وہ يہ کہ ان ممالک ميں کسی فرد ے آيا ہوتا ہے۔ اسے يہاں کی مدِت قيام کا تمام تر انحصار اس شخص يا کمپنی پر ہوتا ہے۔ جس کے ويزہ پر وہ يہاں مالزمت کے لي

کہتے ہيں۔ جب تک کفيل کی مرضی ہوگی وہ آدمی يہاں کام کرتا رہے گا اور جب وہ چاہے گا اسے نہ " کفيل"کی اصطالح ميں صرف مالزمت سے فارغ کردے گا، بلکہ فوراً ملک چهوڑنے پر بهی مجبور کردے گا۔ يہ کوئی انفرادی سطح پر پيش آنے واال

لکہ يہ حکومت کی سوچی سمجهی پاليسی ہے جس کے تحت وہ سرکاری اور نجی شعبوں کو مجبور کرتی ہے کہ وہ معاملہ نہيں، ب اپنے ہاں سے غير ملکيوں کو نکال کر زيادہ سے زيادہ مقامی لوگوں کو روزگار مہيا کريں۔

کہ جب وہ مختلف اثرات مرتب ہوتے ہيں۔ ايک اثر ان کی زندگی پر يہ پڑتا ہے کہ يہ اس بات کی ہروقت کوشش کرتے رہتے ہيں اپنے وطن کو لوٹ کر جائيں تو خالی ہاته نہ ہوں، بلکہ ان کے پاس کافی سرمايہ بچت کی صورت ميں موجود ہو جس سے وہ اپنے

مستقل وطن ميں بہتر زندگی گزارسکيں ۔ چنانچہ يہ لوگ اپنی کمائی کا بڑا حصہ اپنے ملک ميں انويسٹ کرتے ہيں۔ بعض لوگ بچت يہ کاری کرتے ہيں۔ بعض زمين و جائيداد ميں رقم لگاتے ہيں ۔ بعض شيئرز خريدليتے ہيں اور بعض اپنا کی کسی اسکيم ميں سرما

پيسہ فارن کرنسی کی شکل ميں محفوظ رکهتے ہيں ۔

زندگی کا نام ديا جاسکتا ہے۔ ايک طرف تو ان لوگوں " سيکنڈ ہينڈ"دوسرا اثر جو ان کے طرِز زندگی پر پڑتا ہے اسے بجاطور پر و اپنے مستقبل کے ليے کچه رقم پس انداز کرنی ہوتی ہے تو دوسری طرف يہ خوف دامن گير رہتا ہے کہ کسی بهی لمحے انہيں ک

يہاں سے نکال ديا جائے گا۔ ايسی صورت ميں ان کا تمام تر ساز و سامان دهرے کا دهرا رہ جائے گا۔ چنانچہ وہ ہر معاملے ميں ستی چيز کو ترجيح ديتے ہيں تاکہ جاتے وقت اگر کسی چيز کو پهينکنا بهی پڑے تو زيادہ دکه نہ سيکنڈ ہينڈ، گزارے کے قابل اور س

ہو۔ ورنہ قيمتی سامان ايسے وقت ميں کوڑيوں کے مول ہی بکتا ہے۔ چنانچہ يہاں رہنے والے کم و بيش تمام لوگوں کا طرِز عمل يہی ندگی گزارتے ہيں۔ دوسرے الفاظ ميں وہ جس طرح کی پرآسائش زندگی ہوتا ہے کہ وہ فرسٹ کالس تنخواہيں لے کر سيکنڈ کالس ز

گزارسکتے ہيں، اس سے کم درجے کی زندگی اختياری طور پر گزارتے ہيں۔

خليجی ممالک ميں کام کرنے والے ان پاکستانيوں کی زندگی ُان لوگوں کے ليے بہترين نمونہ ہے جو اهللا تعالیٰ اور آخرت کے دن پر ہيں ۔ وہ لوگ جنهيں يقين ہے کہ ان کا اصلی وطن جنت ہے ۔ اس دنيا ميں تو وہ صرف کمانے کے ليے آئے ہيں اور اس يقين رکهتے

کمائی کا بہترين مصرف يہ ہے کہ اسے اپنے اصل وطن يعنی جنت کی زمين ميں انويسٹ کريں، خدا کی قرِض حسنہ کی اسکيم ميں زيادہ سے زيادہ نيکيوں کی فارن کرنسی محفوظ رکهيں۔ غرض يہ کہ وہ اپنی تمامتر لگائيں، اهللا کی رحمت کے شيئرز خريديں اور




کو لوٹيں تو کوئی پچهتاوا ' وطن'صالحيتوں اور بہترين مساعی کے ساته حشر کے بازار ميں سرمايہ کاری کريں تاکہ کل جب اپنے نہ ہو۔

زندگی گزارسکتے ہوں، کيوں سيکنڈ کالس زندگی کو ترجيح وہ لوگ جو دنيا ميں اپنی صالحيتوں کے بل بوتے پر فرسٹ کالسديتے ہيں؟ اس ليے کہ انہيں احساس ہوتا ہے کہ دنيا ميں ان کے ويزے کی مدت کسی وقت بهی ختم ہوسکتی ہے ۔ اگر ان کی پونجی

لی شان بنگلے وارثوں کے اس دنيا کے ساماِن عيش و عشرت ہی ميں صرف ہوگئی تو اگلی دنيا ميں ان کا کيا بنے گا ۔ ان کے عاتصرف ميں آجائيں گے، ان کی شان دار گاڑياں دوسروں کے استعمال ميں آجائيں گی، ان کے بڑے بڑے کارخانے دوسروں کے

حصے ميں آجائيں گے۔ مرنے والوں کو تو اپنے ساز و سامان ميں سے پهوٹی کوڑی بهی نہيں مالکرتی ۔ سو جب سب کچه چهوڑنا يہی ہے کہ آدمی خراب چيز چهوڑ کر جائے تاکہ دکه بهی کم ہو، ورنہ اپنے خون پسينے کی کمائی کو يوں اکارت ہی ٹهيرا تو بہتر

جاتا ديکه کر ان کا جی بہت کڑهے گا۔

ہے جسے خوش ’’ غيرملکی‘‘ميں کام کرنے واال ايسا " خليج"ہم مانيں يا نہ مانيں مگر يہ حقيقت ہے کہ ہم ميں سے ہر شخص اپنا مستقبل سنوارنے کا ايک موقع مل گيا ہے۔ اگر ہم نے اس موقع سے فائدہ اٹها کر اپنے ليے کچه بچت نہيں کی تو قسمتی سے

کو لوٹتے وقت سوائے حسرت و ياس کے ہمارے پاس کچه نہيں ہوگا۔" وطن "اپنے

WHY DO WE SHOUT WHEN WE ARE ANGRY ?? A Beautiful Explanation!!

NEVER SHOUT !!!

A saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?' The disciples thought for a while. One of them said: 'Because we lose our calm, and we shout because of that.' 'But, why shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person next to you when you're angry?' The disciples gave some other answers/explanations, but none satisfied the saint. Finally, the saint explained:

'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance themselves from each other. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.' Then the saint asked: 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other - they talk softly. Why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between the hearts is very small.' The saint continued: 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They only have to whisper, and they get even closer to each other in their love! They even need not whisper - they need only look at each other. That is how close the hearts are when people love each other. MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return. NEVER SHOUT !!!

After family gatherings organized by memon jamat during the year, several families have become active in searching match for their grown up children from among the community. Al Hamdo Lillah in this connection a good progress is going on, in fact proposals among various families for their children are being exchanged with the help of families of some office bearers under strict confidentiality.

Since the Memon Matrimonial Website is under construction which might take time, we kindly request all those memon families whose children are grown up and they intend to look for OR waiting for match now or after some time, to submit very brief particulars about their children. We can help them in finding match for their children. All information provided to us will remain confidential and all communications between two families will also be under strict confidence. Needless to mention that some families are already in contact with us and we are extending help to them for finding match for their children.
